WTF is going on???school shooting.

Yeah, I know. But in my home, in my place of business and on my property I will maintain the edge as best as I can. If I don't see it then so be it. But if I do they disarm or leave. I'm not burying another family member. And I trust NO ONE.

So what you're saying is, you're all for the 2nd amendment and being able to protect yourself as long as it benefits you. To heck with the rest of us.

Very sad.

Very sad my ass! The second amendment is between you and the government. The GOVERNMENT may not infringe your rights. It does not apply to you and I. I'm free to infringe your rights... thank God! In fact it benefits me as a property owner... thus the origin of castle doctrine. You have no constitutional second amendment right to carry a gun on my property. in fact you have no right to be on my property at all, whether that is my real property as a residence or a business that is open to the public. It is not a "public place" as defined by law. I respect your right to carry in public. But I'm not "public." On my property you do as I say. There are only a handful of people I trust in this entire world and I don't know you. It's the kind of mistake, should I make it, that I can't undo.

That's the most relevent post today. Penn Gillette once said "you can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws, it's insane!" Mark Furman just made a comment on Fox News that a box cutter was used to kill thousands on 9/11. It's not about the gun. It's about the insanity and determination of the person.

I'm waiting for the administration to come up with an executive order relating to firearms after this event.

exerpt from my fb wall ''Isn't it interesting how the Windsor Star Review had an article on the front page talking about Gun Control... and then the same day, this shooting happens. Some might consider it just a coincidence, I don't.!!!! Gun control will NOT save people any more than not. If someone has the intent to KILL, having a gun or not will make no difference whatsoever. This old trick is the same argument used with the advocacy of drug prohibition!!!! It has to do more with how things are on the LARGER SCALE!!! The government WANTS, these things to happen. They create the black market. They pollute the water with fluoride, and other chemicals and allow foods that are chemical waste products. They create the environment for Gangs to use black markets to make money off the illegal things... Governments have NO obligation to protect the people.. Implementing Gun Control is EXACTLY WHAT HITLER DID.. Can you see the history.. and learn from it!!!! (via Red Beard)

and what if a teacher or administrator snaps, and they're armed? They're just as prone to doing something insane as the next guy. A teacher could kill every kid in his/her classroom before anyone else could act. Arming the teachers is not a viable solution. Even trying to keep guns completely out of the schools is not a solution.

Smfh............:stop:

And 'what if' a cop snaps and suddenly decides to go postal inside of a donut shop with his sidearm?

And 'what if' a surgeon snaps and decides to slice everyone up in the hospital with his scalpel?

And 'what if' a pilot snaps and decides to fly his jet with everyone onboard into a crowded amusement park?

And 'what if' a chef in a restaurant snaps and decides to stab everyone with his knife?

Etc...etc...

Blah, Blah...BLAH!

Yup. Sad. Have a good day.

Insane post from the same guy who said O should be killed for treason. Got reality? Someone get the net. The rest of us are living in the real world. I truly hope Homeland Security monitors your posts.

Oh, excuse the hell out of me, I guess you have all the answers don't ya numbnuts. I never said govt is behind it but they definitely have motive. You watch what comes of this tragedy. More BS gun laws most likely or at least something further restricting our rights. Until you can absolutely prove me wrong a-hole, STFU! FYI, we are all living in a real world where things aren't what they should be. Good is evil and evil is good. Society is in moral decay, govt and the elite are the most corrupt ever and we are facing an impending economic collapse. That's as real as it gets meatstick and btw I will say it again Obozo has with some reasonable certainty committed treason and should hang for it. Also NSA, DHS, CIA, FBI and God knows how many other alphabet agencies monitor all social websites and probably gun sites more closely than others so we're all watched. Welcome to the NWO putz.

Another young, disassociated product of our present society. No self respect, no hope, and no direction. Probably spent lots of time on "shooter" video games, because he was to inept or under educated at the tax payers expense to find a job. The tragedy here is that the families of 18 innocent children, and other families also have lost loved ones. I can not imagine what drives a person to do this, it is beyond mental illness, it is a total lack of a soul.

I'll say a prayer for those that died today, and their families.

More innocent victims of gun control. The antis will call for more restrictions, but let's not forget that it's already a federal felony to have a gun within 1000 feet of a school.

Title 18 USC 922(q)

Link Removed

Agree with your statement, but your reference to 18 USC 922 is not complete. It is not illegal to be armed within 1000 feet of a school if your CC license is issued by the state in which the school resides. There are some exceptions to this (I'm not going to try and list them all). It is important for all armed citizens to understand that this exemption to school zones DOES NOT APPLY to out-of-state licenses otherwise recognized by the state in question, and/or if there is no recognized background check conducted by the state that issues the license.
.
For those who use the maps on this host site, and think "you're good to go" to travel armed in another state because your CC permit/license is recognized there, you are on very thin ice. Any map of any urban or suburban area in this country will show that it is nearly impossible to transit these areas and not come within 1000 feet of a school, and thus fall afoul of federal law. You could be charged and convicted of a felony. Unfortunately, in our society today, it won't matter that you were otherwise law abiding. This is discussed in the link provided by Eagle2009 and can be found on government websites also.
.
The event today in Connecticut is much more than a tragedy, it is an atrocity. Those of us who believe in the 2nd Amendment, and the benefits to a free society of an armed citizenry, are going to have to do a much better job developing and delivering articulate answers that will address this kind of atrocity. These answers will have to appeal to the public at large and not just those who think like us (with respect to the 2nd Amendment anyway). Bluster will only marginalize you and the freedoms you wish to maintain. I agree that so-called gun-free zones, particularly where people or children congregate, are invitations to atrocity by the kinds of psychopaths our society seems to be producing (coddling?) in greater and greater numbers. But if we can't win this argument our freedoms will just be voted away.

A generation ago there was prayer in school; people said the pledge to our flag. You did not yell at your teacher, or hit them. There was a Nativity scene at the court house or city admin building in every city in the US. And we did not have presidents that supported terrorist.

It's called progressive liberalism

makes me sick obama pretending to wipe tears from his eyes during his speech opportunity how can his heart break for those children yet not for the children his drones killed ???

Never let a crisis go to waste. Especially a crisis that can be used to push an agenda.

Perhaps, another armed teacher could stop them before they killed 20 innocent kids.

So. what's your solution?
