WTF is going on???school shooting.

It still hasn't been stated how he got into the school.....There are electronic locks at my kids school, but I have gone there and still been able to walk right in, that is a high school though...And FWIW there is an ARMED State Trooper on campus at all times. He is refered to as the School Resource Officer and his position is funded in the budget.
 
Wow, a coward if Ive ever heard of one...Going after defenseless children. When will Politicians understand, just because its a "gun free zone" doesnt mean that some invisible object is going to destroy guns or disarm people as they walk into the door, it just creates an environment easy for cowards to come do their horrific business...Im sure if the teachers were armed, the death toll would have been 1, the shooter.

If the teachers were armed, they would still be victims. The teachers unions and the brady campaign walk hand in hand. There would have been one gun, kept in the principals office, unloaded with a cable lock through the action, trigger lock through the trigger guard, wire tie through the barrel with the magazine kept under lock and key in the vice principals office, and one bullet with each teacher, kept in a capsule up their rear beneath a chastity belt. And even then, with an active shooter on campus, the vice principal would be required to see 3 forms of ID, your birth certificate, do a background check, file paperwork, review school security policies, consult the administrator, call 911, personally inform every parent via phone....
 
It matters not what laws that are created. A person whose intention is to do harm to another will do it without consequence to themselves or others and without respect to the law.
 
I'm just in shock over this. Just speechless. NO laws would have prevented this. A lone gunman as well as a suicide bomber cannot be stop from creating the horrific violence they are bent on doing. I do believe that if we did have some "qualified" armed staff on campus they could have mitigated the damage. Just a opinion. In what state of mind must someone be in to do something like this? Just don't, can't understand.
This is the reason I carry. That's all I can say.
 
I have no answers other than true evil does exist. There is no possible explanation as how any human could possibly murder 27 truly innocent people- twenty of them young children. We are hearing about this sort of thing more often, but this unspeakable evil has always existed. There is no protection against insanity. Gun control provides no answers. Just consider the Norway camp shooting (77 dead) in a country with some of the world's strictest gun control measures.

And this type of insanity is not limited to this generation. In the small rural Iowa town of Villisca a mass murder took place in 1911. One of the towns prominent citizens, his wife, their 3 children, and two neighbor children spending the night were murdered with an axe. No motive and no perpetrator were ever discovered. Mass murders can be documented even in ancient times so it is not reasonable to blame modern societal problems alone.

Political opportunists will try to take advantage of this situation. There are no answers and no protection against such horrendous and barbaric actions. Progressives aways look for reasons for this type of behavior outside of individual responsibility. The only explanation that I can see is the existence of absolute and malignant evil in the world.

Answer: societal propaganda; usually white young men who don't quite overcome media and societal propaganda, disempowered by feminists including their own mothers, bombarded with media commercials of various inadequacies, little life experience in affirming their own worth and capability as a man and resorting to virtual affirmations; an internet phenomenon - also due to media bombardment that white men must decrease so that multiculturalism and feminism increase ... we don't need psychiatrists' analysis - they're actually part of the problem - simple empirical awareness and experience will do.
 
Why, Why, Why.....these are innocent kids for christ sake. My kids are in the same age group. Omg I am saddened beyond belief. This coward should have just killed himself first and left everyone in that school alone. My god these kids were all probably getting ready for the holidays. I am so upset right now. Going home to see my children, whom I love more than anything on this planet....

For decades we've been taught that we are all the product of evolution. Thus, there is no God, no higher power, no higher authority and no one to whom we are accountable. Dr. Spock taught us that spanking children is bad and so now we have generations of children and adults who have no self-control, no respect for authority and no discipline whatsoever. We've been taught humanism, self-love and self-esteem ad nauseum. We've likewise had the destruction of the nuclear family through no fault divorce and free love. Furthermore, our national motto says In God We Trust (and I still do.) I would say, as respects a majority of our fellow countrymen, that's a bunch of baloney. It should be changed to "In Government We Trust." Sometimes I want to ask those people, "How's that working out for you?"

Of course not every self-centered, evolutionist, undisciplined, broken home, God denying American does these things. But when the reverse of these things were consistently taught both at home and at school, mass shootings like this never happened in a America. As long as this is the direction America continues to travel I fully expect these mass shootings to continue.

He was buzzed in. His mother was the teacher in the classroom. It appears he & his mother got into it and he went to the school to kill everything she loved.

I had posted this before and was ridiculed for it but I still feel that, like teachers in Israel the teachers in America should be able to be armed if they request it and as far as schools being gun free zones, it only leaves them open to happenings like this. If a few teachers here had been armed maybe a few children and adults would be alive today.

I agree. It might not have stopped this sociopath from showing up (who knows though? If this psycho coward knew other adults there would likely be armed would he still have done it?), but perhaps a few of these innocents could have been saved. BC1's suggestion would work in most cases (an "armored up" nutcase however, could still defeat that), but the cost for that would be huge. Lockdown control systems at every school in the country with a full-time cop or two on the premises would be astronomically expensive. I hate to think we're at a point where we need to turn our schools into virtual prisons, but maybe we are. It just makes me sick to think of this whole thing. This sociopath went there to die, and to take as many innocents with him as he could.
