In some defense of the OC'ers, if I was a BG you can bet your sweet rear-end that you would not be my target. I would not want to take a chance whatsoever of losing. And with that said, OC is not the end-to-all. It's your "my way or the highway" attitudes that are a turn off.

I'm sorry but I don't recall any open carrier saying its the end all or saying cc'ers are nutty. If anything, the title should read cc'ers are nutty if its the attitudes you are talking about. We are on the same highway as everyone else, except its the few cc'ers that feel they own the road.

The term Evil does not like Identify the Groups or like individuals that want to destroy our like Freedoms. So…we come up with terms that are easily identifiable to like those groups. So, we can easily Identify the enemy of this nation .

I think the OC crowd is kind of nutty, just like the Westboro Baptist Church is kind of nutty. Every group has their nutty folks, and in the gun owners/lovers world, the OC'ers are nutty, IMO. Kind of like motorcycle riders...we all love 2 wheels, the wind in our face, etc., but the HD riders think their chit don't stink, and if you ride a Honda then you are not a true biker. I am mostly turned off by the attitudes from the OC'ers, much like I am turned off by the attitudes of the HD riders. Open carry to your hearts content, I just wonder if you don't hurt the cause more than you help.

I know this is a gun forum, not a bike forum, but the reason I mentioned bikes is because there are a lot of motorcycle riders who are 2A supporters and who carry one way or another. I will also add that not all OC'ers are that way, and not all HD riders are that way, just enough who make all the others look bad. (By the way, R1's are great bikes, just not my style, I'm too old for one of those).

I have to ask then, who here has given you that attitude, in this thread and the thread about your store?

If you have felt this way, was it provoked? When you start a thread like this, what would you expect?

I rarely see an OC in here start an argument that you described, in fact I have never seen one in here since I joined.. But there have been plenty adamant cc'ers that come in here and post threads just like this one...so who are the ones with an attitude?

The open carry vs conceal carry issue is something I do not understand. I live in a county full of hoplophobic, educated idiots. It's perfectly legal to open carry, but "it's not recommended". To me, it should be "a choice". If you open carry people choose to carry and are able to, more power to you because that's how it should be. Myself, even if it were not an issue, would choose concealed carry anyway. Simply a matter of preference.

To me, it's a win/win situation. I get to somewhat exercise my Second Amendment rights. The brain washed Obamabots with their artificial intelligence are allowed to retain their false sense of security. Last but not least, local law enforcement doesn't have to deal with bogus "man with a gun" calls.

Big picture... we all live in Pandora's box. That box was opened when the first laws restricting firearms were imposed on the public. We are all on the same side here, aren't we?

Like it or not... anyone, a hunter/target shooter/CC'er/or even an OC'er who defends his favorite part of "keep and bear arms" while ridiculing and demeaning the other parts of "keep and bear arms" is doing the same thing as the anti gunners do!. The only difference is the anti gunners don't like all guns and the, what I call anti gunner "lites", don't like anything other than their favorite part of "keep and bear arms" and are quite willing to allow, even help by putting others down, everything be infringed as long as it doesn't infringe on them.

I rode a Harley for 20 years (for ten of those, it was my only form of transportation), and I want to open carry.

Now, regarding the Harley attitude of which you speak, I have news for you there, too. Not all Harley riders look down on Jap-crap riders, and believe it or not, Jap-crap riders are equally disrespectful of Harley riders. They always claimed that your typical Harley leaked, and smoked, and broke down so often that it spent most of it's life in the shop, or left you stranded somewhere on an all-too-regular basis.

I bought a new 1994 FLSTC (Heritage Softail) that cost me $14900, out the door. When I sold it in 2007, it had almost 83k miles on it before I stopped riding it in 2002), and was still on the original clutch and final drive belt (and starter, alternator, and other "high-wear" parts), and it looked almost new (we Harley riders are keen to keep the bike clean). It had been across the country four times, and never ONCE broke down, although I did get a bad tank of gas once in Ft Stockton, Tx. I sold it for $18,000. Try that with ANY 13-year old Honda/Kawasaki/what have you, with that kind of mileage on it.

As for the open carry stuff, you're certainly entitled to your opinion, but your opinion smacks of 2nd amendment infringment in my humble opinion.

I agree that all motorcycle riders not having the attitude...I like Harley's, owned and rode one before, and ride a Yamaha street bike now....but you seem to fit the OP's opinion of Harley riders pretty well. The irony made me smile.
