I have GAS!!!!!

Yep thats correct I have GAS!! Gun Acquisition Syndrom..... I went out in the yard today and low and behold I had a FNH PS90 all ripe for the picking.

I got the PS90, UTG soft case, 260 rounds of the blue tip 5.7x28, one 30 round mag, one 50 round mag, a box of .45 ACP and half a box of 9mm. All for about half what the gun is new.

Actually, I have a friend that has been out of work and needed some cash. He offered to sell me the entire package and since I've always thought the PS90 were a sweet looking gun I figured I'd help him out.

I have that same issue. I get yelled at for letting it happen in the house. Oh.. G.A.S. Whoops silly me...:sarcastic:

KimberPB... Please ship me some of that nice Florida sand and some seeds.. Any type, BB guns, 22LRs, Gatling guns will work!! What the heck I'll wing it!!

I'm gonna need to grow my own here since the jackass governor is trying to pass a bill (MA House bill 4102) that will limit the number we can buy to 1 per 30 day period! :mad::mad::mad::mad:

I hate this state!!! Please help by sending emails or call the idiots here. I have a thread posted that has all the contact information.:help:

But one for your wife and one for you make two. That is a little better. We have no limit here in Texas but my limited funds inhibits me.
 
I have the opposite problem....

I keep losing the darn things! It seems like every time I go out on my friends boat (out in Long Island Sound) one or more of the firearms we have along keep falling over the side and into the ocean! Terribly clumsy of me, I know.

Hey you could always just move to Florida. Then you'd have the sun, comfortable winters, beaches, gun growing soil, great carry laws, and no limit on guns!! They don't call it the Gunshine State for nothing! lol.

After taking it all apart last night it’s a very uniquely designed bullpup, yet completely apart in seconds. To field strip it you remove the mag, press a button and the whole barrel assemble slides out of the frame. Then tilt the gun forward and the bolt carrier group slides out. Last, if you want, slide the butt plate up, pull up on a little lever, and the entire hammer group comes out.

The rounds actually rotates in the mag. The back of the mag is round and ramped so the round actually spiral down into the proper position. It's kinda wild cause as you load the mag you see the rounds drop and rotate as you add each one. I was surprised at how smoothly the mag functioned. So I'm guessing as long as the mags stay clean you won't have a problem.

I have not made it to the range yet but here are some of the things I like about it so far.

1. Mag location and capacity - For starter who wouldn't like the fact that it holds 50 rounds of 5.7. That's a lot of freaking ammo. The other nice thing is since the mag is transparent and runs along the top you visually see your ammo level, even when the gun is shouldered in the firing position. Only down side is, the empty mags don't just drop free from the gun. You have to physically remove and replace it with a fresh one.

2. All you lefties will love this gun. It is 100% ambidextrous. Charging handle, safety, and mag release are on both sides. It even ejects the spent brass out of the bottom. So no hot brass in the face.

3. Very compact. I find myself sometimes chicken winging it when shooting my AR and other rifles. With the way the PS90 is designed it shoulders and points wonderfully and without thinking I just naturally remain in a tight compact shooting position.

PB that is one slick looking unit. I watched a special on the Military Channel and they were running the demo on the full auto version of that gun. Very impressive. Will need range porn and full performance review as requested by Ricbak, ASAP...

Congrats on the new toy PB! I started to buy one a while back but held off because of reports of it deforming brass. I'm interested in finding out if you have this problem or not. Being a blow-back operated firearm the extreme pressures causes the tapered shoulder to deform. It bulges out the taper. This shouldn't be detrimental to the firearm but does cut down the life of the brass for reloading. Some claimed that they were only able to get one reload before the brass cracked. I'm not sure that annealing will prolong the life since it's a pronounced bulge. If you can please post some pictures of the brass. Reloadable or not I know you are going to have some fun!
 
Thats incredible the gun deals some guys come across! I always seem to be pushing rope up hill when it comes to finding a sweet deal. I'm envious! Good luck with the PS90, they are a really good gun for up close and personal work.:laugh:
