Hey guys I came across a thread that turned into a gun control debate on another internet forum, I never realised how many people really hate gun owners until I rsaw this thread. Please take a look and feel free tro get involved. Here's a link to the thread, the Gun talk starts around the 2nd or 3rd page, my name on that board is ''Finfighter'' I'm one of the only people involved in the debate who's not an Anti, I could use some help in the debate!

Wow, I read the whole argument on guns. These people are so use to government telling them what to do they can't think for themselves. Post this video and ask them what form of government is better. I would , but I don't want to log onto a sight that has so many sheep. BTW Great Job!!! YouTube - The American Form of Government

A great video indeed.

I'm tossing around the idea of joining the forum just to argue. But I'm not even bald, (except by choice) and I have a slight issue with joining a forum and never contributing to it's main purpose. And wow, with all that nonsense stirring around there (over 100 posts) it's gonna take more than just another guy joining the fight saying "yeah, what he said!" I'd likely have to spend a fair amount of time composing some sort of essay in response to all their bogus claims. I would thoroughly enjoy that, but the wife would not be too happy with me for a while.

In the meantime, keep up the good work, stick to facts, and don't stoop to their level with name calling and mud slinging. I'll be checking it out from time to time.

Dude...leave the hairloss forum and don't look back.

Dude...leave the hairloss forum and don't look back.
Those morons could not defend themselves from a girlscout!
They are afraid of themselves and deserve what they get.
They cannot take care of themselves.

At first I was thinking the same thing, but then I realized that I have never really had the opportunity to debate RKBA. I am fortunate enough to live in an area where RKBA is well regarded. I'm surrounded by family and friends who at the very worst are moderate, but leaning pro 2A. So other than educating on specific laws, I've never really needed to educate on the entire principal and why the suppression (or the renouncement, as is often the case) of the right is downright dangerous. And HOLY SMOKES, these people cite a strong police presence as an excuse for not needing to arm themselves... AND THEY'RE OK WITH THAT!!! :wacko:Good grief!

We often speak of the need to educate the public. While it may be more useful if those we educate are our own countrymen, I gotta believe that every little bit helps.

Yeah these guys are just nuts, but the sad thing is there are a lot of people in this country who think just like they do,I guess I just get a kick out of debating with these morons!

Will Rogers once said that everyone is ignorant only on different subjects. What is sad is that so many sheeple when presented with the facts refuse to accept them and choose to remain ignorant.

I agree! You are wasting your time arguing with them. According to the poll you are the minority there. USA is only at 26% with the majority from Socialist countries that have had their firearms taken away. They are brainwashed and nothing they say will change their mind. One statement there sums up the extent of their brainwashing.

"The bottom line of this debate is that people in europe are generally safer than some parts of the states because there are no fire arms here. Can you deny that? "

What a crock!

Well, he's not entirely incorrect. We do have Detriot. :sarcastic:

Detroit? Detroit has corrupt politicians... Still Detroit's third behind Cleveland and Oakland... :cray:

I knew I'd grab somebodies attention with that. (BTW, I lived in Holly for about 6 months)

Actually, I based my comment on my completely scientific research method of Googleing "most dangerous cities" and clicking on the first result, which named Detroit as No.1. But since you brought up some other cities I figured I would go all out and click on some of the other results. It turns out that everyone apparently has their own definition of dangerous city, because out of the first 10 articles, there are about 6 different results. Oakland, Link Removed Link Removed and 2 for Camden, NJ (Link Removed and Link Removed). Long story short, these are all places that we'd like to avoid whenever possible.

One article in those first 10 was World's Most Dangerous Cities. It may be worth passing on to the bald gun haters that London was listed as No.10 in the world. And low and behold, coming in at No.5, Detroit is the only U.S. city mentioned on this list. It would be interesting to compare the gun climate in the other 9 cities. A handful of them, I already know, have very tight gun policies. Most of the others, I assume the same is true.

I agree... :pleasantry:

The fine line between tolerance and acceptance. If they choose not to own or carry guns so be it. I'm sure that many of them are from other countries in which their governments dictate and control what they do and how they live.

Let it go. Feel good about what you do and how you live your life. Be proud that you are an American and that you have that God given right you exercise with pride. You will come across folks here and there that for whatever reason, will not accept that using a firearm for self defense is the right thing for anyone. Live and let live, or live and let die.

Peace.

I tend to agree with these guys. You are debating with a lot of people who have no rights to own guns in the areas they live in. To them guns are the root of evil that their wonderful government has removed from their society.

I ran into a similar issue when I was looking for a CC pistol. I posted on another forum that I frequent because I knew some of those guys were also gun guys. There are a number of guys from the UK and other places where hand guns are illegal. Their responses were extremely negative. They were wondering where the heck I lived that I had the need to carry a loaded handgun with me. They just couldn't imagine living in a place like that. It was senseless to try to explain it to them.

Little known fact: England, at the outbreak of WWII, begged America's private citizens to send them their guns. Many complied and it took years for any of them to be returned after the war was over.
