9mm gun

Taurus!!

If someone told you that you could only own one handgun for carry, home, etc. and it had to be a 9mm which 9mm would you want?

Think dependability, accuracy, recoil, shoots well.

:triniti:

Gotta go with my Taurus 709 Slim, lightweight, small, accurate, love mine!!

If I could only choose one? It would be my XDM 9mm compact. Outstanding to shoot, and you can go with either 19+1 or 13+1... Its what I have grown to love.

Springfield Armory XD, 4" Service...Absolutely dependable; will without fail go "Bang" every time the trigger is pressed...Unfailingly feeds, fires, extracts and ejects whatever ammo (In spec and in good condition, of course) it's fed...Great ergonomics, recoil is very manageable, and inherent accuracy of the pistol is also great...And the price point of this pistol is excellent...One of my XD 4" Service pistols has 8000+ rounds thru it in all types of wet, nuddy, dusty or dirty conditions without a single failure to feed or fire...I carried a 1911 Government in combat, and would not hesitate to take the XD 4" Service to war any time...An XD 4" Service (or occasionally an XD Subcompact 9mm) loaded with Remington 147 gr Golden Sabres is my EDCCW, and I'm confident in both of them...

I have a Springfield XD9 and like it very much but if I were limited to only one 9mm for carry, home and other uses it would be my Ruger LC9 ...very reliable, very compact, very easy to safely carry in normal holster, iwb, or even a pocket holster.

Beretta 92F.. They just run.. I put cheap ammo and good ammo through mine and never know the difference.. Kinda big for carry, but with a CrossBreed holster who would know it's there..

The other choice is the CZ-75.. Have yet to have mine fail.. Classic model, not the B or the import version.. I bought both of them for the reliability and accuracy.

I'm a 9mm carrier(G26).I'll answer this question after I get a case of ammo shot through my Walther PPQ.If there are no failures,then........PPQ.

Give me a Springfield EMP and let me fill it with MY OWN RELOADS - ++P++. I don't mean +P+. I'll load them NUCLEAR POWER. The EMP will handle the (over)pressure.

I want my target to simply VAPORIZE.

Excuse me if any of you are offended by this thought, but if I ever have to pull my gun, I fully intend to kill the perp. No more, NO LESS ! After all, MY LIFE is worth more than his....

Or do any of you disagree with this ?

I would go with the Ruger LC9. I've shot a lot of 9mm pistols over the years and I got away from 9mm for a few years. The LC9 brought me back! :-)

Only one 9mm? Glock 19, concealable, easy to find parts for or mod, multiple mag options, ammo is carried practically worldwide, reliable. It goes on. And I hate tupperware guns! But I have to admit after owning a Walther P99as I wouldn't get rid of the Glock.

Oh, and my wife only owns and carries one purse! (I have to be careful about saying I am buying another gun!)
For local excursions I'll stick with my Colt LW Commander .45
YMMV

I would have to go with the Springfield EMP. I just hate these "one gun" answers. I think the someone that said I could only have one should be run out of the country.

My choice would be and IS a Beretta Storm Compact 9 MM. A 15 round magazine, rotating barrel with light recoil and manual safety and decocker from a respected longtime firearms manufacturer.
