Why in the blue susie would anyone ever tell you that you could only carry or have one gun and specify the caliber? I would tell whoever the idiot was to go pound sand, I dislike 9mm, always have, always will. Glock is a good gun. but I don't understand the way some seem to worship it. It is like Krispy Kreme donuts. I have tried them and am underwhelmed. For carry, I prefer my Springfield XD 40. for home defense, a shotgun is the only real defense tool for me If THSHTF, I want an H&k MP5, even if it is 9mm, it sends a lot of lead downrange in a hurry. The department I worked for began issuing Berettas just before I left, not for me, big gun, little bullet.

Mine would be an XD 9 Service model. I have the same in .45 and love it.

I tried the Rugar SR9c and although accurate, it didn\'t work for my huge hands. I had a lot of problem with the 17 magazine binding up when I squeezed the trigger, and when that would happen the trigger wouldn\'t release so that I could get a second shot. so for me personally, I\'m going the go for a 9mm that fits my hand with out an extended magazine.

If you cannot find or afford a genuine Browning high power in double action, then a Smith and Wesson 39 or 59 if you can find one is truly the very best, most reliable, easiest and safest to operate 9mm.

I like my Springfield XDm compact. It is good for me, but others need to find what fits and works for them. Not all guns or shooters are created equal.
