Today's headline - "AG Holder cleared of wrongdoing in Operation Fast and Furious." The AP report says, "Justice Dept faulted in gun-trafficking operation". Everyone is to blame except the man who actually runs the department. Heads rolled, but not Holder's, because he supposedly didn't know about what was going on in his own department. How convenient. Gone are the days when a department head would still be held accountable for such a fiasco, because not knowing what was going on in their own department constituted failure to properly do their job and exercise the oversight with which they were trusted. So another administration official skates, while underlings take the fall.

"In a 471-page report, Inspector General Michael Horowitz referred more than a dozen people for possible department disciplinary action for their roles in Operation Fast and Furious and a separate, earlier probe known as Wide Receiver, undertaken during the George W. Bush administration. The report did not criticize Attorney General Eric Holder, but said lower-level officials should have briefed him about the investigation much earlier."

It was a W. Bush Admin op, not Obama.

Holder simply inherited it.

Sounds like the underlings clammed up about it hoping to keep it under raps.

Fair enough.

Hopefully now this spam will go away, like the birthers, and the moosleem-ists.

In 7 weeks it won't matter anymore. That's when Mitt will be looking for another job he can run for, maybe Senate.

From what I remember reading about Wide Receiver, the Bush AG tried to let guns walk with tracking devices on them. When the tracking devices were discovered, the program was halted. So if Fast and Furious was Bushes fault, Obama covered it up so Bush didn't look bad. So basically Holders underling investigated and found his boss blameless, and it's Bushes fault. OK, I see how that makes sense.

just another case of the subs taking one on the chin for the boss. IF he didn't know then he should be removed for negligence. btw, doesn't the inspector general work for eric holder?

Looks like in this administration the heads don't know what the underlings are doing unless it is for political gain like Osama oops Obama err Osama... Oh well Barry is a troll

There is always a SUCKER in a lower level of the Department, who is always going to end up taking the fall for the Chief Scumbag, who actually did it.

After looking at some of your post, it is determined that: A) You are a troll. B) And a Dumbass. Emphasis on B.

No heads have rolled.... anywhere. They aren't admitting Holder knew about it, but emails / memos and briefing reports show he did.

Don't know some folks but sure am tired of the libtards blaming Bush for everything. It seems no one in the current adminastration can or will take responisbilaty
for anything. Its easier to blame someone else. this crap has been going on every bummer gotinto office.

You and AutisM just keep drinking that gubbament and media kool-aid. You are probably better off since you won't have to actually think.

The charges against Holder were that he was trying to cover things up after the fact. Those charges are still valid. The fact that he might not have known what was going on makes me wonder who's in charge up there. I think he actually looks worse by not knowing about a large international operation like F&F.

It would make no difference if Holder was convicted. Osama will write him an "executive pardon" when he leaves office.
