45ACP I love my Kimber 1911's but S&W M&P 45c is a year round concealed carry in IWB holster. Offered with/with-out manual and magazine safeties. I opted for the no safeties more like my generally preferred wheel guns. Most of mine are for hunting and single action. I have an LCR. However, it can not match my 45's for comfort and accuracy.

S&W40 during the winter and a 32 in the summer in short pants pocket...I love the kel tec p32 for carry, but i know the 40 is best. But the 32 gets carried the most. I have had those big 45's and just never could get comfortable with an all day carry. Weight, size just too much, but i love the safety system of the 1911 model. I always felt like it was showing when i carried it....Great pistol though.

I carry everything from .38,9mm,.40 S&W to.45ACP in 1911. It just depends on how I feel that day. Try to stay proficient with all of my handguns. My .40 S&W,a Taurus PT140 Mill Pro Compact is the most carried though.

Plenty of people have not stopped at the FIRING of a .45, much less at just the sight of it. Lots more have stopped at just the sight of a .22, .25, etc, bet on it, cause so many more of such guns are actually ccw'ed than .45's. No rational person wants to get shot, regardless of caliber. Only the truly desperate or deranged force you to fire, IF you get your gun visible to the attacker IN TIME for him to notice it and stop.

I voted 9mm because my EDC is small enough to carry in any weather/season and light enough to be comfortable in most carry positions, but I'd prefer a .45ACP that fits the same criteria. My .45 (S&W 4563TSW) is full sized and only tolerable comfort-wise for extended periods of time worn OWB on the hip, which drastically reduces the time(s) of year I can EDC it. My current 9mm EDC is a CZ RAMI, and though fairly heavy, still fits in most pockets, is reasonably comfortable in a Crossbreed Super-Tuck, and/or virtually unnoticeable in my "Packin' Tees" shirt holster, which is how I carry it most often anymore. I plan on going slightly smaller and lighter with a Kel-Tek PF9 before long. I'd try for a small, light .45 if they weren't two to three times as much as a PF9, but alas, I'm poor, so 9mm it is then.

I carry my LCP every day everywhere. But I like my 45ACP. When I get the cash I will get an LC9 for a little more kick. The 45 is a little harder to hide. Ordered a sneaky holster, if I like it i'll get another 4 the LC9 I Plan on adding 2 my arsenal.

Well for me its a variety. The judge public defender 45lc/410 ,SW 40, 9MM or 380. Just depends on what the weather is and how I'm dressed!!

My PT145 has less perceived recoil then my Witness 45, WHY...... Geometry I guess??
