Question guys and gals

Is it justified if you are in a situation that you in the store and it can be any store and the BG come in the store to rob the place but when he come in he don't see me and I pull my gun out and shoot him dead? Thanks guys and gals for your comment, I'm looking at this as what if beening in this kind of situation can you shoot and be justifed.
 
He doesn't SEE you and you just bushwack him? My personal thoughts are that, in Michigan at least, that you would be spending a lot of money on attorney's fees as a minimum.
 
That is a state specific question. The situation you posted is far to broad and simple to be answered correctly. How was he robbing the place, did he have a gun? Did you fear for your life or the life of another. I generally advocate not getting involved in things that don't involve me...here is a good video about what you're asking...



 
I do agree with the video BUT I carry to protect myself and other innocents around me if I can not rely on the tools I carry then I would not carry. My belief I live by is always expect the unexpected and judge everyone. Judge folks isn't always bad it can mean reading body language as well as intentions as well as of they are serious or just scared. If and when I pull my gun it won't be to scare someone it will be to drop the threat and reasses the danger and what my next steps will be. I feel sorry for somebody who carrys but would rather not take responsibility for putting the sidearm on everyday. I wear it just like my watch or my flashlight or pocket knife. It is a tool of everyday life. I will feel NO regret for protecting myself or someone else.
 
That video was awesome, I would love to go through something like that. I think about different situation like "What If" this would to happen what would be my reaction. Hmmmm, now I hope to God that I would never have to draw my weapon anytime but I know that it can happen and that we don't live in a perfect world.

Every day it's getting worse and worse by the minutes just look at the news. Well maybe use a different tactic that to bushwark but if you give it away he can turn on you or other that is in the store. Maybe other will see this post and also voice there opinion I think that this will be interesting on how we will come out of a situation like this, for those that haven't had the training anyway yet. Thanks for the comments guys I love to hear more.

Please get some PP training. In theory you're correct, the world is getting crazyier by the day. But consider the depth of your actions when you respond. It must be done in a responsible manner that puts no innocent peson in danger.
 
The irony of the first part of the video is that the CCW'er may have actually condemned two other people to death! The BG may well have not intended to shoot anybody, but, after the shooting may have decided to eliminate witnesses. Yes, I realize that's a lot of "may haves."

That all depends....
Does the BG have a deadly weapon?
Is the BG threatening to use violence?
Are innocent people's lives at stake?
Can 'you' even hit what your aiming at?
Is it safe to even discharge your sidearm?
Are you shooting 'to kill' the BG or are you shooting 'to stop' the immediate threat?
Etc...Etc...

............Time for dinner, my brain hurts =-/
 
i went through scenario training like that using airsoft guns ....the training was fun but i don't think it would be fun at all if it wasn't just a training event.......great vid though

That's an awesome response. Truly thinking out of the box. Robbery suspect a bit irritated about the lack of money, do-gooder attempts to stop the robbery. Suspect shoots do-gooder. Now he's just commited murder, take care of the witnesses because "he aint going back to prison".

Okay, so will you say that you do nothing, lets take that second situation where the guy use the cell phone to call. I guess that it will be hard because no one situation is the same, I guess that you train to use your weapon as a last result. I find myself, until I can get some training thinking about what if I was in a store mainly what would I do. I'm interesting on seeing what would you guys and gals do giving something similar to the one in the video.

Nice, this give me something to think about I really would like to get some train in this. Interesting, thanks.
 
Speaking of training, I had the opportunity to assist the training officer for my local PD some years ago. I was one of the BGs. They were using traffic stops as the scenario and the BGs were given weapons and instructions, but were allowed some improvisation. Watching how quickly things could go sideways was TOTALLY eye-opening to me, and really took the "routine" out of "routine traffic stop!"

different students did different things when it was my turn i looked in before going in and heard loud arguing so i opted just to leave the scene shop somewhere else....
heheh but lets say you're already in the store when the fake gunman comes in to rob the joint then it just depends where you are if you're seen already and a host of other factors as to what you should do but it's good to go through scenarios in your head during your every day routine imo.....like the other day i was waiting in line at a bank and the line was long so in my head i made up little scenarios what would i do if?????and why???? you see it's fun and easy but it's more fun with alot of folks and airsoft guns in makeshift scenarios and then discuss how we could have done better.......

Ahahahahaa i don't like listening to some guy fight with his baby mama when i'm buying cheerios either
