Why wasn't a selection for chambered, no safety in sight sidearm selected as one of the choices?

I'm butthurt that a choice for polymers with no external safety wasn't included.

Something reeks of 1911 or other external safety equivalent snobbery...

Obviously, I could not dumb it down enough... for you.. Ill make it so easy a 5 year old could understand... IF you don't see one of the two choices I'm polling, THEN YOU DONT VOTE... pretty simple for the person of average intelligence. The only thing that "FAILs" in this forum is the ability to hide your venom.. seems a common thread in this forum.... I only give out ***** when it is thrown at me... and there is enough ***** in this forum to open a methane lab.

I own a Springfield Armory Champion with external safety and hammer, and if you'll look at your own poll stats, I voted, before I posted anything.

If you can't take strong suggestions, or don't have a thick skin, why-the-hell are you even here?

At least keep-up with your own d a m n poll stats...

But then there are some who are possibly a C10 (new anti-gun condition)! Gun in holster without a magazine and no round in chamber! An empty magazine in one pocket and a box of ammo in another pocket! :eek:

Now we all know the BG will be understanding and give you time to load the magazine, insert in gun and rack the slide! :rolleyes:
 
The chambered choice begs the question. The only semi-auto I would carry with one in the chamber is one that has a hammer and a firing pin block safety.

The majority of accidental discharges with semi-autos seem to occur with striker fired pistols that rely upon trigger pull distance to prevent accidental firing.

Not trying to be a jerk... I honestly am curious...

Do you have cites and/or links to studies that support your statement that a majority of accidental discharges with semi autos occur with striker fired pistols that rely on trigger pull distance?

While I don't believe in the concept of "accidental discharges" because any unwanted discharge can be traced back to some human negligence from design to materials to inattention to foolishness to just plain screwing up....

I really am curious to see the actual numbers comparing striker fired NDs to any other type of pistol... even including revolvers if those stats are available.

Right, because one of the most famous negligent discharges was by Tex Grebner with a Kimber Pro Carry II. Also, the firing pin block safety is a drop safety. All modern handguns are drop safe, but they aren't idiot proof.

Edit: Anyway, ET doesn't want my opinion as a Glock carrier anyway.

None of the above. Chambered, DA/SA not cocked and safety on except in hot spots such as ATMs, gas stations or downtown. I train to always sweep the safety off.
