Pretty clear cut to me. In fact, when I think of instances where I might use my weapon, this one has all the features I like: bad guys with guns threatening people, lots of witnesses, good shooting on my part, dead BG on the floor when LE arrives. What's not to like?

If you're worried about civil suits and the like, best bet is to leave your firearm at home. There are simply too many ways to end up in legal hassles, even if you don't shoot someone.

If you're only gonna protect your own sorry ass, that's fine, too, but remember that payback is a *****. Might be your daughter that gets executed in the back storeroom because some CCW holder didn't have the balls to take care of business or was worried about legal ramifications.

Saying you are defending 30$ is an oversimplification of the issue. Utah doesn't have many shooting or murders, but a decent amount of what does happen occurs to the poor schmuck behind the counter or the other unlucky bastards that happen to be in the store at the time.
What happened in the Ogden Hi-Fi shop cost several people more than 30$.

I could live with trying, but I would like to know since when did you become a mind reader? You seem to be under the impression that all robbers just want stuff and then will go away politely. Guess you live under a rock. The difference as to when you find out an armed criminals true intent or state of mind is only the milimeters of trigger pull on his weapon. By the time that happens it will be too late.

But like I said it is ok. You continue on the course you think is best. Good day.

It keeps getting better with you. So avoiding use of a firearm whenever possible is "pullus" to you? You're a shoot first and ask questions later type of person then? Is that what you teach your students?

I could ask you the very same question: when did you become a mind reader? How do you know your intervention in a robbery is neccessary?
 
When the bad guy displays or indicates he has a firearm he had declared his intention to use it. At the minimum he had declared a threat to use it. Deadly force in self-defense is justified when a " reasonable" person would believe their life or the life of another is in eminent danger. This standard doesn't seem to me to require mind reading or discussion with the bad guy to determine his intentions. Likewise, if I draw my weapon, there is no expectation that I declare my intention to defend myself before doing so.

I just love it when some moron does a little Google search on the subject of Oklahoma's deadly defense laws then post some of what they found. Then think they know how it will be applied.
I have some news for you, you don't know nothing ZIT.
It's what the District Attorney feels he can charge you with and then drag your ass through many Months in the court justice system.
You better have some money saved for your Attorney you damn sure will be needing him.
Take my advice before coming to Oklahoma do not think what you read will keep you safe, if you pull out a firearm and use it. Just pulling it out will get you arrested.
