Where is the outrage over this 911 call?

DIAL 911 AND DIE

Jimma Reat, was murdered in Denver on April 1, 2012.

Jimma would probably be alive today if he hadn’t called 911 – or if he had chosen to ignore the police dispatcher’s instructions.

Instead, Jimma and his relatives – who had already been attacked and threatened by gun-wielding thugs in a racially charged road rage incident – were instructed to return to the scene of the initial attack, where Jimma was fatally shot.

If you call 911 expecting some magical savior, you're basically screwed. Be prepared to take care of your own emergencies.

wow i agree ridiculous of the police to tell them to go back to the where it started they should have just given them directions to drive to the nearest police station or safe place and met them at it
it is said ya can't fix stupid

Dang, just imagine if he had not drove back to the incident. He would be getting so much flak for not following orders from a law enforcement officer dispatcher officer...officer...LMAO I thought 911 operators were the end all know it all, must follow their every order to the T, or else you are in direct violation of "something."

Is the 911 operator liable for this man's death?

The surviving relatives and friends whoever they are should sue the whole Denver Police Department for that mistake. A life was mistakenly taken due to their fault.

The city and the dispatcher are probably in deep kimchi in civil court.

The police have virtually NO legal duty to protect anyone.

On the other hand, they have a legal duty not to ENdanger anyone.

They might as well have told the deceased, "Go get the snake that bit your sister so we can tell if it's poisonous. No, you don't need gloves or tongs..."

I do not believe the 911 operator is a police officer. The person who told him to go back to the scene was a random person who answers the phone for a living.

That's certainly what everyone said when Zimmerman ignored one.
