Hmmmm, looking over the list, I have notice that my secondary carry is not there. My current primary is a 1911A1 by Springfield with Monkey Edge VZ Frag grips, in .45 ACP. My secondary is a Colt Combat Commander in .38 Super. I believe the list may have "lost" a couple of choices. Hard to believe only a handful of us carry non .45 or 9mm calibers when carrying.

Looks like a lot of liars here, claiming to ccw a 1911, at least, the Gov't model.
Seriously?!?!?!? Common - there is no reason to start name calling... With the right holster (ie crossbreed suptertuck) a full size 1911 can be carried VERY easily... all day, every day...
when you lie, a liar is what you are, true? I've packed a Gov't model, and as fanatical as I was about it, I couldn't WAIT to switch to a lw Commander and even Jeff Cooper said the same. He only packed the Gm if he was stuck with importing one gun overseas, shooting a match or hunting with it, or openly carrying it. He couldn't get his own wife, Janelle, to OPEN CARRY more than his old M60 .38 snub, in AZ, at Gunsite ranch or her trips to Paulden. I think that it's VERY revealing that these 1911 fans ALSO just HAPPEN to have officer's ACP's, Defenders, .38 snubs, .380's, etc.

My son carries a Taurus PT 1911, but I carry a full sized HK USP .45 and have never been tagged by anyone.Looks like a lot of liars here, claiming to ccw a 1911, at least, the Gov't model.
