This Will Never Make The News

A friend told me this story today so I wanted to share it. The story is not news worthy and would never get reported anyway. Why? Because it doesn't involve a cop doing something wrong.

Those of you who are anti-police might want to shield your eyes from what the police officer told my friend.

Here's the story:

Without giving away certain specifics of where it occurred, Ill tell you about the conversation. My friend was nervous about carrying into a sporting event that may subject people to a pat down or metal detecting wand at the entrance. Carrying concealed with a permit into the event is legal under the law, but the team and people running the event may not allow it in their stadium. However, my friend decides to strike up a conversation with a police officer working the event to see what he thinks about it. This is where the anti-police need to look away: In reference to carrying a gun, the cop said "It's in the Bill of Rights, if police get to carry them, then so should other people".

I certainly wish more people would video tape officers saying that. I'm definitely not pro police, anti police maybe, but not hearing about good police definitely does not help.

Marked guardian has gotten a lot of attention recently...the videos that stand out to me are the ones where the officers were respectful to Warren and the constitution. There needs to be more of those kinds of videos.

No pictures. No audio recording. No witnesses. Didn't happen.

I'm KIDDING!

Although...some people will say your friend was discourteous to the officer because he didn't show him his permit and tell him where his gun was.

I know plenty of LEO's that think this way and my hat is off to them. Unfortunately, I know a few who think they are the only ones who should carry. Thanks for the story Deserteagle.

There are lots of Le's who fell this way. Not all Le's are tools.

This reminds me of the cop I met in Suffolk Va. He and his partner were doing weight checks on Big trucks and I got pulled in. This was a mobile unit with portable scales. He comes to the window and tells me he needs my drivers license and physical card and that we are going to weigh the truck. I handed them over and my CCH from NC and told him he probably would need that also. He looks at it and asks somewhat suprised if I am carrying, which I said yes and his reply was "Good, I think everyone should carry a gun." Had a nice talk, though he asked me to leave the gun in the truck when I came up to the mobile office they have in a van, discussed different styles of holsters and prefered carry gun. Then he gave me my overwight ticket and I was on my way. He was nice all the way through. I have met cops from Va to SC in my line of work, gotten a few tickets on the truck not me, and not one hassle from any of them. The truck deserved each ticket it got, and a few more it didn't which go on my employer not me, but they have always treated me good, and proffesionally, and some where just downright friendly.

Wish I knew where that was so that I could shake that officers hand!

Please don't mistake that I'm anti-LEO I have many friends and family who are LEO's. I respect and understand their job quite well. I was just saying that it's refreshing to see that it's not a small few who feel that way, and they should be recognized for not wanting to crush the rights of the citizens.

While stopped by Border Patrol officer told me he wished everyone carried " We have the 2nd Amendment" is what he also said.

As a former business owner of a small 24 otr truck operation I know asshat cops. I have had tickets in the thousands because they did not like the way the wiring was rubbing All my trucks where less then 5 years old. But those of you who do not know those big areas on the side of the interstates and some surface roads are there to write tickets to commercial vehicles and they write allot of them for no sane reason.

Wish I could have shaken his hand as well. This took place in a city I would not expect.... Denver (The anti-rights city of Colorado).

Believe it or not, Boulder is worse. Like all large cities and college towns. Anti-gun, anti-individual rights, anti-Christian, anti-American. Progressive Socialist cesspools and breeding grounds. All of them.

Oh believe me I know. I have spent many years of my life there, still do (work)
