Supreme Court ruling on marriage equality

The natural cure for an ill-administration, in a popular or representative constitution, is a change of men.

Alexander Hamilton, Federalist No. 21, 1787

sinful nature is always hostile to God....

If the federal government should overpass the just bounds of its authority and make a tyrannical use of its powers, the people, whose creature it is, must appeal to the standard they have formed, and take such measures to redress the injury done to the Constitution as the exigency may suggest and prudence justify.

Alexander Hamilton, Federalist No. 33, January 3, 1788

You really are twisting this to fit your hatred of others. This is not a tyrannical use of powers, as it forces no one to do anything they don't want, but merely gives a large number of people the right to do what they want, harming no one.

It is the greatest absurdity to suppose it in the power of one, or any number of men, at the entering into society, to renounce their essential natural rights, or the means of preserving those rights; when the grand end of civil government, from the very nature of its institution, is for the support, protection, and defence of those very rights; the principal of which, as is before observed, are Life, Liberty, and Property. If men, through fear, fraud, or mistake, should in terms renounce or give up any essential natural right, the eternal law of reason and the grand end of society would absolutely vacate such renunciation. The right to freedom being the gift of God Almighty, it is not in the power of man to alienate this gift and voluntarily become a slave.

Samual Adams, The Rights of the Colonists, November 20, 1772

sinful nature is always hostile to God....

We have this day restored the Sovereign to whom alone men ought to be obedient. He reigns in Heaven, and with a propitious eye beholds his subjects assuming that freedom of thought and dignity of self-direction which He bestowed on them. From the rising to the setting sun, may His kingdom come!

Samual Adams, After signing the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776

The sad part is, any required license for marriage, takes away our right to marry whoever, whenever, we want...the government oppressed the Right to love a long time ago. They didn't win the Right to get married...they got permission from the government to get married...the exact opposite of freedom.

It's important to recognize the distinction between the religious sacrament of marriage and the legal contract of marriage. The state has no ability or desire to regulate the religious sacrament of marriage.

It's important to recognize the distinction between the religious sacrament of marriage and the legal contract of marriage. The state has no ability or desire to regulate the religious sacrament of marriage.

The utter nonsense of this statement is belied by the fact that a state-issued and state-mandated license to marry must be obtained before a church wedding or a civil ceremony. Not only does the state have the ability and desire to regulate the religious sacrament of marriage between the men and women getting actual Biblical-defined marriages, they regulate the very pastors' religious duties to base the sacrament only on the Bible, not on man's law. Both the couples getting married and the pastors' marrying them have their rights violated by any intrusion by the state on the Biblical-compliant process.

Here's some exposure about people and groups whose rights have been, and will continue to be, violated by the homosexuals:

Under the banner of what is dishonestly called a gay pride or gay “rights” flag, hate, fascism, and intolerance has festered for years, specifically against Christians and conservatives. Under the auspices of a “rights and equality” symbol, Leftists have been on a rampage to take way the rights of others through bullying, lies, and online terrorism.

The list of misdeeds and victims resulting from an increasingly emboldened Big Gay Hate Machine continues to grow.

Under this banner of hate, people are outed against their will, terrorized out of business merely for being Christian, bullied and harassed for thoughtcrimes; moreover, “hate crimes” are being manufactured to keep us divided, Christians are refused service, death threats are hurled, and Christianity is regularly smeared as hate speech.

If individuals wish to fly this symbol of hate, oppression and bigotry on their own property, that is their choice in a free country. It is unconscionable, however, that this symbol of intolerance is allowed to fly above Link Removed-owned buildings.

The symbol of bigots who seek to strip others of their First Amendment right to practice their religion has no place on government grounds.

And yet, the White House was turned into the "Rainbow" House last night, promoting the same hatred chronicled above that the occupier in chief inside decries of people who want to keep the symbols of their ancestors in plain view for all to see concerning the Confederate Battle Flag.

He wrote that? right after signing a document proclaiming "all men are created equal" in a world where only white man of European descent were included in that claim?

No wonder he is best known for his beer!

Thankfully our founders created a country design to evolve.

It is too probable that no plan we propose will be adopted. Perhaps another dreadful conflict is to be sustained. If, to please the people, we offer what we ourselves disprove, how can we afterwards defend our work? Let us raise a standard to which the wise and the honest can repair. The event is in the hand of God.

No law requires that a state issued license is required for a church to perform a religious sacrament. The marriage licenses issued by government organizations in the US are licenses to be LEGALLY married. Again, there is a difference between the religious sacrament of marriage and the legal contract of marriage. Stick to the facts.

We can find countless articles about peoples rights that have been violated by the heterosexuals. What's your point? That doesn't answer the question: Whose rights does the court ruling violate?

Call it whatever you want, there is no legal contract for marriage in a free country.

Who are you to dictate to others what contract they may or at not enter into in a free country? In a free country that decision would be up to them, not you.
