Quote of the day

But that goes no matter what the color of their skin. Character, honesty, morals, attitutde, work ethic, and on and on has all been left behind. Ethnicity has nothing to do with any of it. There's just as many sorry whites in this world as any others.

I do agree with you and add that due to this continued systemic racism that our elected officials perpetuate. This attitude of division of races because of skin color is exactly that. RACISM. We are Americans, no one part of the populace should be granted any more then the rest ESPECIALLY due to race, religious choice or gender. But if we had that, as the constitution and bill of rights proclaim, then those in office could not manipulate those "Chosen Minorities" to pander to. We would ALL be equal in our Gov'ts mind. Isn't that what we're striving for?

Which brings me to another qoute of the Day:
Divide and ConquerThe phrase is attributed to Philip II, king of Macedon (382-336 BC),

''It also shows just how in tune our forefathers were with the predicament of American society, what it was then and what it would become.''
they'd roll over in their graves if they saw what it has become

lol doc i don't think foil will help the already foiled

I wonder if that was really JFK's quote?

The one 'ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country', I believe Ben Franklin said that originally but JFK gets the credit.

Anyhow, I wonder who he was talking to with that statement? Maybe the Cubans that were going to overthrow Castro? Yeah, that worked out well for them!

I really have to wonder why Americans hold JFK in such high esteem. His politics sucked, he was as corrupt as his daddy and PT109 was a fairytail, except that it did happen and he wasn't really the hero.

I hate that he was assasinated but we would be further along in the mess we are now in if he continued I'm afraid.

I have read a comment by JFK that the PT-109 incident was told in such a screwed up way that he just got tired of trying to straighten it out.
Since the crew never even saw or heard the destroyer that hit them, I'm inclined to think that they asleep on a combat patrol and that the man stationed on watch as a lookout was known to be night blind. Being asleep on watch in a combat zone is a death penalty offense.
I am interested in knowing what information you have on the subject.
