“Today, we need a nation of Minutemen. Citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom.”

—John F. Kennedy

i remember the day jfk got blown away
it was as sombering as 9--
both should have been wake up calls .....sadly most never woke up to realize the depths of diabolical evil behind those events

I wonder if that was really JFK's quote?

The one 'ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country', I believe Ben Franklin said that originally but JFK gets the credit.

Anyhow, I wonder who he was talking to with that statement? Maybe the Cubans that were going to overthrow Castro? Yeah, that worked out well for them!

I really have to wonder why Americans hold JFK in such high esteem. His politics sucked, he was as corrupt as his daddy and PT109 was a fairytail, except that it did happen and he wasn't really the hero.

I hate that he was assasinated but we would be further along in the mess we are now in if he continued I'm afraid.

This is just more evidence of how far the democrat party as a whole have abandoned the main stream of American society. JFK would now be considered a radical right winger.

jfk.....he was going to expose the corruption and get us back on the gold standard very similar to ron paul today which is why he was blown away and my guess is why ron paul is not favored by the media as he is a threat to the feds and their corrupt hold on this nation
if ron paul were to get elected and i doubt he will as the corruption controls the numbers but if he did, it wouldn't surprise me if he too wound up dead for the same reasons jfk did

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." MLK

Yea right, we see where's that's gotten us. Most, not all, but a lot want to be judged by their color so they can reap the benefits of being listed as a minority. AND Character? Again a lot have no idea what that even means.

sad his dream has not come true yet
another mlk quote i like

But that goes no matter what the color of their skin. Character, honesty, morals, attitutde, work ethic, and on and on has all been left behind. Ethnicity has nothing to do with any of it. There's just as many sorry whites in this world as any others.

I don't know much about this in particular, but I think Nixon took us off the gold standard in 1971.

It's actually a quote by Thomas Jefferson. Martin Luther King Jr. took the initiative to remind everyone of it.

It just goes to show you that modern day hero's are not as eloquent as our forefathers. It doesn't take a lot of smart to look in a book for a quote said long ago that Might be used today.

It also shows just how in tune our forefathers were with the predicament of American society, what it was then and what it would become.

And if you wish to see the whole speech he gave in 1961 with this quote here is a link:

During Kennedy's term we had more paper money than we had gold. Kennedy did nothing about it. When Ford got into office, he finally officially told the people that we did not have enough gold in Ft. Knox to cover all of the paper money and officially took us off the gold standard.

Colt was in the process of making a custom engraved and gold inlaid New Frontier revolver for JFK when he was assassinated.

JFK was an NRA member. He wrote an interesting letter to the NRA commending them on their role in the defense of America --> Link Removed

I heard him say it. I think it was at his inauguration, but I'm not sure of that. Pols frequently lift quotes from history or others.

Hmmmm. I guess I'm showing my age again. :)

You sure are a buzz kill. Yes the Kennedy's were as corrupt as the next guy and money and power will do that but JFK was one of few that went against the Rothschild dynasty and their federal reserve by his authorization to start printing money against a silver standard. He went rogue from what I gather. Didn't want to play ball with Rothscilds. Andrew Jackson was another who had a price on his head but succeeded to escape harm. I think Lincoln also wanted to take down the FR and we know what happened to him.

I think a lot of people knew then but more know now who is in control but no one is willing to put a foot forward to do what is right and what needs to be done. They have become way too powerful. All it would take though is a few hundred specially skilled individuals to snuff out the evil doers from here to England and it would have to happen simultaneously so others couldn't be warned. We ARE at war here, people just don't know it and the enemy is domestic.

Yes he took us completely off the gold standard but the other traitor FDR started us down that path in his new "slave" deal with a partial reduction or something to that effect. So now the Rothschilds and their ilk have our gold (real wealth) and we use a worthless paper illusion of money.

History is repeating itself. We are staring in the face what our founding fathers were escaping in their day. The reason for the DOI was to keep it from happening again. The bell rings--ding ding round 2. Who will be the first to fire the shot this time?
