No verbal warning, nothing. The police officer stepped towards the individual in an angry fashion where this guy was frustrated at the time frame and the fact that he was just assaulted and involved in an attempted robbery.
"I'm not on your timeframe". That's always good to know considering many people are depending on them to be there at a moments notice to assist in these situations. This was way overboard. Yeah, the reservist was a bit belligerent with his comments, but the use of force was absolutely not necessary. The officer could have stepped back to de-escalate, and if the individual came towards him then that's a different story. I agree that this composure would not be appropriate for someone who is carrying because that could escalate even further, but I for one am tired of seeing videos of officers abusing their power. They are not above the people they serve or the laws they enforce.
