A nice warm welcome from Missouri. I hope you will remember to put your location in your profile. Some people like me like to know the location of your whereabouts so if you ask a question we might be able to reply to, at least we can refer to your location as according to the law in your part of the world or the USA. Come on in...the water is warm and the camaraderie here is outstanding while we learn from one another. And SSG_Steggy, thank you for your service.

Hello all. Not sure how to change my profile pic but I added a few to my album.
We are a firearms training school in Fond du Lac that caters to Police, Military and civilian CCW holders. Check out our web site at Michigan Bodyguard, Executive Protection, Network Security, Fugitive Recovery, Personal Protection
We are here to help so if you need a key note speaker or advice let us know.
At the top right hand side, click on Settings. From the left hand side of the window look for Edit Profile Picture. Hope this helps.

Just got mine last week ! Massachusetts,, took4 months
Lots to learn! What is the best state to get a none residence for travel ?
This is my biggest concern

Non-resident carry licenses

busstoff62: I don't know which state has the"best" non-resident carry license but Virginia has them. You should write to the State Police Headquarters in Richmond and request an application. The instructions are quite straight forward. I'd also suggest enclosing a copy of your MA license as well as a copy of your military honorablr discharge (if applicable).

Welcome from Texas.

Hello from new member TREV C. from Massachusetts! I joined today in order to keep up with my past practice of doing everything backwards when it comes to defending my right to carry. First I became a Life Member of the NRA, then I joined a local gun club, next I got my license to carry a concealed large capacity handgun and now I'm entering to win the concealed carry giveaway so I can finally have all the necessary tools I need to protect my family. Wish me luck!

Hello All,
Just joined the site. I'm now back home in New York after ten years active Army. Looking forward to interacting.

Just joined the forum (as well as having recently acquired my first firearm, a S&W 642, although I have shot on & off all throughout my life). Thought I'd say "hi" from Alabama (usually south AL, although I'm in Huntsville on business right now).

Come on all -- welcome to newbies -- just dig in, the water is fine in here and the camaraderie is great. Just join in our conversations and forget yourselves for a while. This might be the last bastion of freedom of speech we will experience here for a while. Talk to us, fill up your location so we know where everyone is located, join in our fun and laugh with us, learn with us.

New member from Michigan here. I've honestly never fired a handgun but I've been shooting trap for kicks for several years. Always had an interest in handguns that my wife did NOT share, but she's coming around, so I'm digging in more and learning more in hopes of procuring my first handgun soon. I don't feel a need for self-defense because of where I work and live, but I would like to learn more and likely provide last-line home defense.

That and the Ruger SR9c is a sexy beast.

Glad to find this site. There seems to be some interesting reading here. I've been a concealed carrier for a year now. I carry a Ruger 9mm LC9 strongside and a Ruger .380 LCP crossdraw. Both are OWB in Fobus holsters, loaded with Hornady Critical Defense ammo w/ the pipes loaded. A good quality t-shirt worn non-tucked hides them both quite well. I prefer OWB rather than IWB, pouch, chest, pocket or ankle carry due to the ease of getting to weapons and the comfort. If wearing only shorts and no shirt, I keep my NAA mini .22 MAG in my pocket.
