So, I am wrong? What exactly in the Florida state statue as I have emboldened below am I missing about any establishment with a license to sell alcohol being one of the places that we are not allowed to carry a firearm.
Florida state statute
790.06 License to carry concealed weapon or firearm.--
(12) No license issued pursuant to this section shall authorize any person to carry a concealed weapon or firearm into any place of nuisance as defined in s. 823.05; any police, sheriff, or highway patrol station; any detention facility, prison, or jail; any courthouse; any courtroom, except that nothing in this section would preclude a judge from carrying a concealed weapon or determining who will carry a concealed weapon in his or her courtroom; any polling place; any meeting of the governing body of a county, public school district, municipality, or special district; any meeting of the Legislature or a committee thereof; any school, college, or professional athletic event not related to firearms; any school administration building; any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, which portion of the establishment is primarily devoted to such purpose; any elementary or secondary school facility; any career center; any college or university facility unless the licensee is a registered student, employee, or faculty member of such college or university and the weapon is a stun gun or nonlethal electric weapon or device designed solely for defensive purposes and the weapon does not fire a dart or projectile; inside the passenger terminal and sterile area of any airport, provided that no person shall be prohibited from carrying any legal firearm into the terminal, which firearm is encased for shipment for purposes of checking such firearm as baggage to be lawfully transported on any aircraft; or any place where the carrying of firearms is prohibited by federal law. Any person who willfully violates any provision of this subsection commits a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
And just let me say this, in this day when they (our government and the left wing media) are looking for any excuse to take our gun rights away whether they have the constitutional right to do so or not, we are the ones that claim to be upstanding, moral law abiding citizens. Our clean records and past good judgement, many of us having served in the US Armed forces and Law Enforcement have led us to the point we find ourselves. The world we live in is a violent one and we need the right to protect ourselves. But when I hear people on here saying things like: "If you get caught", "They are not looking for that", I have gotten away with it", etc, etc, etc... The point of the matter is that it only truly takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch. Do not break the law for your own sake of self pride and risk the chance that "If you get caught". Do you have any idea how the liberal press starting with the Orlando sentinel would crucify you and make you look like some gun toting lunatic that was carrying as loaded gun at a kiddy park. Even if the allegations are not true the damage has already been done. And just for the record, the theme parks really do do a really good job at protecting their guests inside their parks and resorts. Since 9/11 they have poured millions into infrastructure, rerouting roads, building barricades, installing high tech surveillance, etc. Just for example most people that go through the turnstiles these days do not understand why they are putting two fingers onto a scanner before they can go through the turnstile. That is a bio-metric scanner that can tell if you are angry, nervous, etc. And if you do not register in a mood they like they will send you to guest relations followed closely by a undercover security guard trained to ask you a series of questions that will reveal why your emotional state is anything other than excited to go ride a ride.
So just keep it clean my friends. continue to obey the law and respect the wishes of places like Disney that have made it clear that they do not wish to have weapons in their parks...
