Eventually this list will get longer. On a computer to easily find the abbreviation you want, hit ctrl + f (find) and type in the abbrevation you are looking for.

#A: Amendments (ie: 2A = 2nd Amendment)

ACP: Automatic Colt Pistol. (ie: .45 ACP)

AD: Accidental discharge. (VERY RARE)

AE: Action Express. (ie: .50 AE)

AFAIK: As far as I know.

BG: Bad guy.

BoR: Bill of Rights.

BTW: By the way.

BUG: Back up gun.

CC: Conceal Carry.

CC'er: Concealed carrier.

CC'ing: Concealed carrying.

CCH: Concealed carry handgun.

CCL: Concealed carry license.

CCW: Concealed carry weapon.

CHL: Concealed handgun license.

CPL: Concealed pistol license.

CM/COM: Center mass/Center of mass.

CMR: Code of Massachusetts Regulations.

CNS: Central nervous system (Brain and spinal cord)

CPL: Concealed Pistol License.

CQB/CQC: Close quarters battle/combat.

CWP: Concealed weapons permit.

DA: Double Action.

DAO: Double Action only.

DA/SA: Double Action/Single action.

DOA: Dead on arrival.

EDC: Every day carry.

FFL: Federal firearms license(e)

FID: Firearms IDentification (card)

FA: Firearm.

FMJ: Full metal jacket.

FTE: Failure to eject.

FTF: Failure to feed or failure to fire.

G&A: Guns and Ammo.

GAP: Glock automatic pistol. (ie: .45 GAP)

GATTTOTP: Going armed to the terror of the public.

GG: Good guy, good game, or Gorgard Gunny.

GSW: Gun shot wound.

HP: Hollow point.

IANAL: I am not a lawyer.

IIRC: If I remember correctly.

IMHO: In my honest opinion/In my humble opinion.

IMNSHO: In my not so humble opinion.

IWB: Inside the waistband.

JHP: Jacketed hollow point.

LAC: Law abiding citizen/carrier.

LE: Law enforcement.

LEA: Law enforcement agency.

LEO: Law Enforcement Officer.

LTC: License to carry.

MGL: Massachusetts General Law.

MP: Military police.

ND: Negligent discharge. (Often mistaken for an AD)

OC: Open Carry.

OC'er: Open carrier.

OC'ing: Open carrying.

OODA: Observe, Orient, Decide, Act.

OP: Original Post or Original Poster.

OWB: Outside the waistband.

PO: Peace Officer. (not sure if this is correct or even used anymore)

POTUS: President of the United States.

RIA: Rock Island Armory.

RKBA: Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

SA: Single Action or Springfield Armory.

SAO: Single Action only.

SCOTUS: Supreme Court of the United States.

SD: Self defense or sheep dog.

SHTF: **** hits the fan.

YMMV: Your mileage/method may vary.

As people add more abbreviations I will edit the OP to keep them all in one easy to find place. Hope this helps!

FTF = Failed To Feed...Mostly utilized in speaking about Auto Pistols.

Could you put them in alphabetical order, please? I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in order, like they are supposed to be! ;-)
 
When all else fails RTMFB.........Old Navy logic to include all instances were you come to a point of frustration and you finally READ THE MIGHTY FINE BOOK (pls feel free to sub MF for anything that may match). Finally have my wife onboard as well.

Neverheard of sos being that (have heard of ssdd: same **** different day) or sd being sheep dog...but I will add it...if someone wants something taken off just post and I will look into it.

PIBKAC = Problem Is Between Keyboard And Chair. Otherwise known as OE = Operator Error.

PO = Previous Owner and DPO = Dumb Previous Owner

SNAFU = Situation Normal, All Fouled UP
 
As it is in 39 other states as well. Seems that 10 states have something against feeding a baby naturally.

I firmly believe that a permit, training and "safety" inspection should be required for PBF... might reduce the number of accidental discharges... it is for the sake of the children, afterall.
