Why Do You Carry Concealed?

I carry concealed because moms are ignorant of the dangerous thugs

I carry concealed so I don't scare moms afraid of guns. :)

I carry concealed because moms are ignorant of the dangerous thugs around them who carry concealed. They delude themselves to fear the open carry person while imagining no one else is armed.

Nope same bunch of moms raised in the city with little exposure to guns except in the bad news and fantasy world of Hollywood movies.

And the solution to that problem is for all the good people to hide their guns from them? Although I do understand the State of Texas doesn't allow you much choice. Who would have guessed Texas was run by a bunch of city raised moms scared of guns, and men catering to them...

Thuds think they can get away with seeking women out . Then making them a victim. So I introduce them to my 3 little friends.... 45c,40 c and 9mm.

Better to have and not need than to need and not have. Open carry will bring a lot of attention to the carrier, I would prefer to not have that attention focusing on me.

How do you know that?
Common sense. It most of the time does draw attention if you are not in a LEO uniform. It is on the news often both local and national level where the cops are called to Walmart, McDonalds etc....because someone or multiple folks are open carrying. I would guess the overwhelming majority of folks don't know their own states gun laws.

I must be doing it wrong. I very seldom get any attention due to my openly carried gun and what little attention I do get is about 90% positive.

I open carried in a kids playground while playing with my girlfriends 2 year old son, and didn't get any negative attention.

I conceal carry very little anymore. Everybody knows I carry, and I prefer to have them see my weapon, say to themselves, self let's not screw with this guy. Let's move on to an easier victim or a concealed carrier, who'll take care of it then.

It's Open carry here in Ohio but I hear that Law enforcement will get you for inducing panic etc.... so it's better not to.

I'll bet you heard that from a LEO, a gun store employee, a CCW instructor, or someone who has never open carried.

Cincinnati police chief issues memo about open carry.

It is important to note, open carry by itself also would not support a charge of Disorderly Conduct or Inducing Panic. There must be additional facts to support these offenses. If someone is lawfully carrying a firearm—and doing nothing else— the fact that it causes alarm to others does not support a charge.
