This is absolutely true. But whereas other cops and ex-cops may have been unfairly tagged by me as part of the problem without much evidence to go on, I had a conversation with you here, and you had to convince me. Your trainers have taught you well. Your indoctrination into assuming certain classes of American citizens to be unworthy of your protection and/or service and/or even so much as caring about, is apparently.....complete.

It has truly been a sad thing to watch.

Well I can't help but wonder who are the correct ones here...those who deal with these individuals face to face each and every day, or those who just read about them in the paper?

I don't dare tell a fire fighter the best way to deal with a fire...

By "Witnesses" you mean the other delinquents in the SUV, one who was braking parole by being out that night and another who was serving time for burglary at the time of the trial? The child lock story is less likely than the shotgun story. Look at the shot angles and explain to me how the SUV door could not be open.

CNN is not exactly unbiased. They keep reporting that Jordan was unarmed when he had a tactical knife in his pocket with a four inch blade. I don't know what the rules are in Florida, but certain municipalities here in the Pacific Northwest restrict carry knifes to a three inch blade.

have you ever heard of the constitution? the bill of rights?
the people you wanted to search have zero obligation to inform you of anything.
your health and welfare are not part of the equation, they have a right to not offer any information that could be self incriminating.
your well being doesn't trump their rights that are guaranteed by the fifth amendment.

I've already blew the door theory. I mean I'm not saying it wasn't open because obviously the only people who know that are the ones that were there. But if he fired the first round of shots at the door as it was parked directly next to him, that would be a 90 degree angle to the back door. Then if he figured shots as the car was backing away, that would result in a different angle than 90 degrees.

It is amazing how this nice boy was out running around town with a bunch of thugs. as for the knife in his pocket AFAIK it is not illegal in Jacksonville. now the dead kid's "father" has been co-opted by the antis and is on a media tour denouncing the rights guaranteed by the second amendment

Please please please re-read my post. You are 110% correct. I never said anything about them refusing to answer the question. I know exactly what the 5th amendment says. We cannot make them be a witness against themselves, or in other words we cannot force them to answer any questions or force them to say anything for that matter. What I said was that I simply and kindly ASKED if he had anything sharp on him. This individual did not take advantage of his 5th amendment right to silence. He chose to speak. His answer...was a LIE. If he didn't wanna answer, he didn't have to. If you do answer, "the truth and nothing but the truth so help you God".

Corrupt and abusive? Searching a guy upon arresting him for committing a crime is abusive? Okie dokie...somebody has become a little too liberal minded. First you're condoning a guy shooting a car full of teens over loud music, then we're abusive for making sure someone doesn't have weapons on them before taking them into the jail...you're just all for the common criminal aren't you?

Hey you little tyrant-wannabe b i t c h, I spent my sister's entire life learning first-hand about mental illness, and the addictions she was prescribed by the state into and out of like they could be turned off like a light switch. If only. Her illness and her addictions sent her to an early grave. It ain't my rights I'm concerned about at all. The odds that I will ever share a jurisdiction with you are nil. In fact, my concern about how you protect and defend citizens' rights is a smaller concern than how you will handle seeing other cops abusing citizens, or planting evidence, or writing false reports, or extorting money from drug dealers, or any number of other crimes that cops engage in on a daily basis in this country. Will you step in to stop it? If you will, will you report it to your superiors? So many of them are simply assimilated into the "brotherhood," and turning a blind eye to the abuses and corruption becomes "just the way it is" for so many of them. If you manage to buck the odds throughout your career, what I said here won't matter a wit, and I'll be long-dead, so you're welcome to take it all with a giant rock of salt. For the back door of the SUV to be aligned with the front door of the sedan Dunn would have had to park with the rear of his car sticking way out of the space, or the SUV would have had to be parked way forward. The later was not possible due to the orange pylons in place to keep cars from driving up on the walk in front of the store.
