OC for Tactical Advantage
whatever the purpose was for this commercial, it did get one of my liberal minded coworkers to want to go shoot my other coworkers glock 19. That's good yea?
Someone who can't dial 911 and retrieve a firearm at the same time probably shouldn't own a firearm in the first place.
She should also practice calling 911 and retrieving a fire extinguisher, or calling 911 and retrieving a first aid kit.
So stressed she puts the gun on the couch and goes back to watching her soap opera on the tivo.

Yep, it was made for gun "enthusiasts" - but there is a big difference between people who drool over firearms and people who own and use them responsibly. The inane ads using T & A for the pitch are usually made for the droolers.
Fortunately, for the time being, what people should or shouldn't do in their personal, private lives, isn't for you or leftists like you to decide.
People die every day in firearms' accidents caused by people who should not own firearms.
Someone who can't dial 911 and retrieve a firearm at the same time should take personal responsibility for lack of their adequate coordination to own a firearm and simply not own one. No one should have to tell them they can't own own one. The fact that they can't dial a phone while retrieving a firearm should be self evidence enough for them to make the wise decision.
The Loganville mother said she didn’t initially answer when someone knocked on her door around 1 p.m. Friday. When the visitor began repeatedly ringing the doorbell, she called her husband at work, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
He then dialed 911 and his 37-year-old wife gathered their 9-year-old twins and hid them in a crawlspace inside the home.
According to the report, the intruder then forced his way into the home and started “rummaging” through the family’s belongings.
When the suspect went into the closet where the family was hiding ,the woman fired six bullets at the suspect, five of which hit alleged suspect Paul Ali Slater in the face and neck area.
Of course, the flip side of this would be the cops standing over the victim's body and saying "I guess she thought it was the drunk next door mistaking which house was his, when it was really a raping murderer..."I agree. If someone is breaking into my house then I'm prepared to defend myself, and the law should resolve all benefit of doubt in favor of the homeowner.
But your bravado is of concern.
A few years ago a homeowner in a suburb of Buffalo, NY shot and killed a home intruder. The intruder was an out of town teacher visiting friends who were neighbors. He had gotten drunk at the party, left his friends house to get some air, then returned to the wrong house.
The shooting was totally justified under the circumstances.
I doubt the homeowner would describe the events in such a perfunctory manner as you have.
Even when totally justified, the decision to kill another human will forever be a part of your life.
And when it turns out the person you killed was not really a threat to your well being, even through justified under the circumstances, it won't go away with "Bang, Bang, Bang."
She didn't dial 911, either.Unlike the Glock fantasy advertisement, this is how it happens in real life.
Mom hides children, shoots intruder 5 times
She definitely needs to verify she is loaded when she picks up her pistol.
I am dismayed, nay... disgusted!... at how many times I have read someone set themselves as judge of others and declare that:
"If you/they can't or aren't -->insert something here<-- then they shouldn't have a gun in the first place."
Why do people think other folks should be denied the right to bear arms and the ability to protect themselves just because they don't measure up to their personal criteria? Oh... yes... it's that "projection" thing where only those who are as great and grand as themselves qualifies....
Funny thing is.... from time to time there are stories in the news where some frail elderly woman manages to shoot an intruder/attacker and save her life/prevent herself from being raped... without dialing 911 first... and... has never taken a minute of "training" in her life!
But even though the goal.. the ONLY goal.. for someone being attacked, and a home invasion IS an attack, is to protect themselves/other innocents so all can survive the attack............... there are some who would have us believe that the old lady shouldn't have a gun because she was never "trained", or didn't call 911 before getting her gun, or didn't do all the "tacticool maneuvers" seen on TV.... and didn't check to see if her gun was still loaded like it was when she put it away before using it to save her life.
Ok... where is the "puke" emoticon thingy?
She definitely needs to verify she is loaded when she picks up her pistol. At the point she feels threatened enough to bring the gun up in ready position, I think she needs to verify she is in fire mode and be ready to shoot.
