Now one has to ask if god is then why are the prophecies so extremely vague? Why not specific dates and names? Why does the bible not mention America the most powerful and influential nation in history?
God's prophecies are not extremely vague. I've said it numerous times,
ISRAEL IS GOD'S PROPHETIC TIMEPIECE, NOT AMERICA!! There are two major topics of prophecy,
both of which must be studied if one is to have any understanding of the Bible: 1) Israel; and 2) the Messiah, who would come to Israel and through her to the world. These two major topics involve specific fulfillment's of prophecy that cannot be denied. Christ was anything but vague when He said that the re-birth of the nation of Israel would mark the beginning of the Last Generation, and the Bible's prophecies concerning the Jews, Jerusalem and Israel are specific. Whether atheist or believer, Hindu, Muslim or Jew, all mankind knows that the next world war, when it occurs, will break out over Jerusalem. The prophets also declared that in the last days Jerusalem would have a special importance for "all nations". Zachariah 12:2-3.."Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about....I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people:
all (including America) that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces". In Jeremiah 30:14, God says to Israel “All your allies have forgotten you; they care nothing for you.” Its context shows that the verse applies to the time of Jacob’s trouble, aka 70th Week of Daniel (7 yrs of Tribulation).
America has been Israel’s ally since 1948, but as of last week America has stated that it will not stand by Israel in the future. This is consistent with this Administration's support of al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood overthrowing Middle East governments in the name of "democracy." A new red line HAS been crossed in US foreign policy. The US is supporting the radicalization of the very nations named in the Bible that will come against Jerusalem in the end times. If the American people allow this to continue, there is clear prophecy of the consequences: Zechariah 12:9, "And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem." God's foreign policy pertaining to Israel is specific.."I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you". Ezekiel 38 and 39, which describe the famous Magog (Russia) invasion of Israel, include an interesting statement. “I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the Lord” (Eze 39:6). “Coastlands” in Hebrew refers to coastal areas, islands and continents, which could include America. Our location on a separate continent has enabled us to “live in safety” through many military conflicts. This verse suggests either a cosmic or nuclear devastation that includes Magog (Russia) and possibly America.
One clear principle in scripture is the spiritual Law of Accountability: to whom much is given, much is demanded (Lk 12:48). God has blessed America generously throughout our history but we are squandering his blessing on self-indulgence. As a nation, we have turned our back on him, made policies and laws that are clearly anti-God, and embraced political correctness allegedly to avoid offending those having other beliefs, even to the point of renaming national holidays having Christian origins. Unfortunately, the attitudes and lifestyles of many Christians in America are indistinguishable from those of non-Christians. Add to this the fact that America, as prophesied, has now turned it's back on Israel, in essence IMO signing it's own death certificate. Be it the Rapture, a complete economic collapse bringing us into union with the NWO, or a number of possible cataclysmic events, America becomes totally powerless and insignificant in the very near future, very possibly even non existent. There are only two things that last forever, America isn't one of them. Once again, prophecy must be studied if one is to have any understanding of the Bible.
