Very true. The pedophile who killed our little guy is out, working odd-jobs at the homes of unsuspecting people. Here's a guy who's attacked little boys on multiple occaisions working in your home and you wouldn't know it. Just because he served his time (15 yrs) doesn't mean he's safe. He's been dumped back on an unsuspecting society. Marc Klass (Polly Klass Foundation) once told me the chances are favorable that this guy will offend again. Who will be around him when he gets the urge. Could be anyone's kids. He lurks in the parking lot at Wally World.

I personally can't even imagine how you deal with this. My sister & I (along with a few other kids) were victimized by pedophiles when we were young. My sister still stays in denial most of the time. Six years of abuse has definitely affected our lives in a negative way. Even though it's been 40yrs ago; we both have had difficult times as adults.
Our abusers basically got away with it; legally speaking. But, both (eventually) wound up meeting their maker because of their predator lifestyle. Personally, (even though I am a Christian), if something like this ever happened to one of my kids I would likely end up being the one behind bars.
I recently subscribed to "Lifelock". One of the things they do is send me notifications to any changes in nearby "registered" offenders movements. I also regularly check the sex offender database in my area as well. I would recommend any parent to take the time to find out where the nearest registered offenders are in your neighborhood. (We have about six registered offenders within a one mile radius.)
I also check the sex offender registry for the names of anyone who comes to my home to do any work. I just ask them (or their bosses) for their full names; then run them through the database.
Believe it or not, I did have one guy come back as a registered offender. I met with him before he came to do the work, then I checked his story out at the records office. (He was registered because of a domestic altercation with his ex-wife.)

when child molesters rapists and other violent sickos are walking the streets it's time to ask ourselves why it is we as a society have done to create such monsters ..how sex and violence on tv manipulates the minds of many how have we allowed such a lax in right teachings from poor parenting skills to corrupt curriculum in our schools to corrupt lawmakers and so on and so forth.....rather than sending our youth to destroy others rights in foreign nations we need to keep them home and teach them to care for each other at home ......ok done with my rant but i'm fed up with this sickness our culture is breeding

The problem with revenge is that you destroy the rest of the family with your weakness. I'm not doing anyone any good if I can't support my family from a jail cell. It's living that's hard. Anyone can get revenge. I had to settle for delivering a vicious beating some years back. DA refused to prosecute. He's gone from the state now anyway. but he's probably going to re-offend someday.
