Daylight Savings Day.

Got Beretta's?
I hate the day after we "Spring Forward" and loose an hour.
I mean;
First you have to remember to set the alarm.
Then it wakes you up at 2am.
You can hardly see the darn thing, then you have to reset all the clocks in the house.
Put on your boots and coat to reset the clocks in you cars.
Resetting your wrist watch is really hard when you are this sleepy.
Then climbing back into bed and and try to get back to sleep.
I am just really sleepy today.

I just wait until I wake up to do all that. Plus my cell phone resets time automatically and my alarm is on my phone. Next time just change all the clocks before you go to bed.

I am still trying to find out what they are doing with all the daylight we are saving. Someone said that they invested it in the stock market and lost it all, others say they invested it in BoA at a negative interest rate but the best idea is that it is being stored in an underground bunker below Area 52. By now we should have enough saved up for a rainy day or at least a tank of gas. However there is the suggestion that BHO is shipping it to the Arabs in exchange for campaign contributions. Does anyone know for sure what they are doing with it?

I'm for just leaving it alone. I still do see how you can cut one foot off the top of a blanket and sow it to the bottom makes the blanket longer. If you want an extra hour of daylight make your own adjustments, don't drag all of us with you. Just like all these ridicules holidays. The only ones taking advantage of them is government workers. Then again maybe government not working isn't such a bad idea.:pleasantry:

Now wait just a minute! You are making this very complicated.
First you say "I just wait until I wake up to do all that" then you say "Next time just change all the clocks before you go to bed"
Now I am really confused.
What if I pick option one. Then I hear a noise at 3:15am, What I am to think is it 3:15am or 4:15am.
If I pick option two and then what happens if I wake up at 1am, is it 1am or is it midnight?
How does the TV know what time it is?

I guess it is the same science they use for global warming. If you fill a glass with Ice cubes and water, the level of the water does not change when the ice melts. But they say that Miami will be underwater some day.

I should of added "Or" before next time. I was trying give you 2 options. Does that make sense?

Well they say that there are more auto accidents today than any other day. But I am so tired that nothing makes sense. But I get what you are saying,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I think.

Untrue. Ice is less dense than water, this is why it floats. When water freezes, it expands. Hence why full water bottles or bottles of pop or beer will burst when freezing.

So when ice in a glass melts, the level of the water will actually decrease., unless some of the ice is rising above the glass, in which case the level of the water will likely rise. Hence why Miami will sink... Because glaciers that are now above water will be underwater when they melt.

But you knew that already. You're just trolling.

=)

Put ice in a glass with water and let it melt. The water level will be virtually the same. The ice displaces the water and fills the void as it melts.

Something that adds to the frustration of dealing with the time change is an article I read that indicated there is a 10% increase in the occurrence of heart attacks the day following the time change. That's just great. Keep a cool head out there!

You are using a different concept. Icebergs an arctic ice is fresh water floating in a sea of salt water in which the salt water is much more dense making the ice float much higher. You also have to remember how much ice is on land, for example the entire Antarctic continent is well above sea level as well as most of the ice in Alaska and Siberia. As an experiment put some large ice cubes in a glass of salt water filled to the rim and see if it overflows.

This planet has been here a long time. Much longer than us humans have been here. It has cooled and warmed many times. I don't know how our mighty scientific brain trust have figured out how burning fossil fuels, green house gases and human activity are all the sudden most responsible for our climate change. Does anyone consider maybe the sun might have something to do with it? I know I'm showing my ignorance.

Global warming is a fact. Al Gore, the inventor of the Internet, said so so it has to be true. NOT. Climates are always changing. As for daylight savings time I say we split the difference and move our clocks forward a half hour and then leave it alone.

Preparation is the key to success. Put all your clocks in one place (in your cars?), get a big magnifying glass for your watch, and have a garbage can nearby for the clocks that don't get changed before 2:01.

In the land downunder, despite the proclamation of daylight savings time, some States do not want to comply and they did! ~~ they do not change their clocks despite the proclamation. One example of this is Queensland. (Actually the only example is Queensland...the rest of the other 4 States comply with DST.)

The farmers of Queensland do not think highly of DST -- mainly because they wake up at the same time practically everyday to feed and milk the cows, do their tasks before sunrise, etc. Farmers' time consists of three times of the day ~~ sunrise, noon (lunchtime) and sunset.

To make a long story short, the only people that get affected by DST are the kids who goes to school in the State next to Queensland, which is New South Wales. The Queensland kids get to walk or be taken by school bus or cars by their parents over the border (New South Wales) who complies with DST. And this explains why most bright as a button Queensland kids are late for school everytime the clock changes to abide with DST in NSW.
