Actually water is most dense at about 32 degrees at sea level. Water sinks at about 32 degrees (depends on elevation), which causes lakes to turn over. I know that from my fishing days.

As far as DST, I set my clocks in the middle of the day on Saturday, and go to bed at my normal time. I wake on Sunday without losing 1 hr, it is just misplaced.

I think the funniest part of DST, was Bush, starting DST sooner, and ending DST later, as part of his energy policy (program).
 
My husband is of German origin born and raised in farmlands Riley, Kansas, speaks very little German. 'Glad to be of help...but then there's Google ya' know...:lol::sarcastic:
