You make the call

All of you who believe there is no justice in a life that has been changed by the passage of time and a humbling of heart have just changed history. Your Savior would not have been born in Bethlehem. The Jews would not have occupied the promised land and they would have never been able to cross the Red Sea.

You just disarmed and imprisoned...

Moses.

I hope you are proud of your high and mighty stances against "Ex felons".

There is a word for your degree of disillusionment, or is it a psychosis? I can never remember these thing. Either way. Dude! You are unhinged!

I can't remember reading in here that anyone said there was no justice. If the guy comes 'back' from where ever he went in your fantasy world, to reality, he will be arrested and prosecuted for the crime. The outcome of the trial will determine his fate. That is justice.

You may want to go back and read your Bible a little bit there dude.

God told Abraham 400 years of slavery but because Moses decided to do it his way Israel stayed in Egypt an extra 35 years. BTW Moses spent 40 years paying for his crime on the backside of the desert.

Another BTW You ain't Moses

Everybody knows Charlton Heston was...

Should never have the right to bear arms and should be arrested. I mean, come on, the 2nd amendment is a great thing but not for those who can't be law abiding citizens. We're talking murder here...

Let me guess.......

The person is someone highly respected and important to our country. Thus proving:

Felons need guns
Rapists need Viagra
Child molesters need access to schools

Same troll...different day. Quit trying to con the people here. You want you're guns back. The people that know your story say no. Troll elsewhere.

You can all bow to my awesome psychic powers........

Or just recognize that this felon (IntentionalFelon) won't change his stripes.

But hey... they day IntentionalFelon parts the Red Sea I will sign on to get him his rights back..

I'm waiting............

Well, at least you seem to have a handle on the history of this and have an idea what I'm talking about.

I won't even bother conversing with some of the others who are too uneducated on the subject to even grasp what I'm trying to say.

Moses made a mistake. As you stated, he paid for it.

I'm no Moses. Nor am I Paul Revere or any number of other great figures in history. Nothing I did would havebeen a crime in the eyes of the founding fathers who gave us the 2nd amendment. No one was hurt. I was carrying just in case of the need to protect myself or my employee. The state decided to make an example of us.

I am a human being as are the 15-25% of people who are wrongly or justifiably convicted of felonious crimes in the US who have never hurt another human being and do not return to crime.

I am trying to be a voice for those 300,000 to 400,000 who are in prison now who either never committed the crime they are accused of or will never commit another. (You can look up the statistics yourself)

It doesn't affect me that much other than being a thorn in my side that we, as a people, are so willing to let the anti-gun crowd lead us like sheep.

I'm sure your wife has seen her share of scumbags she had to defend. I was not one of them. Neither are approximately 1/4 of a million or more of Americans who are stripped of their right to defend themselves from attack each year who have never had any intention of harming another human.

Yes, there are felons who shouldn't ever have weapons. If they don't deserve the right to defend themselves they don't deserve live or liberty.

Why is that so hard to understand?

I won't even bother conversing with some of the others who are too uneducated on the subject to even grasp what I'm trying to say.

And there it is.... the battlecry of the un-win-able position. You can't change someone mind so they must be uneducated.

All because I don't know how many smokes it takes to buy a shiv in prision doesn't make me uneducated.

I'm no Moses. Nor am I Paul Revere or any number of other great figures in history.

Then why do you constantly try to use them to justify your actions?

This is called justifing your actions, not taking responsibility.

Are you aware of what site you are on, calling the law abiding people on this site "anti-gun" because they won't rearm a felon? Pathetic.

But it was a crime in the eyes of the state of Illinois and you knew that when you did it.

Don't give me that "the founding father wouldn't have though it was a crime" crap, the founding fathers didn't think owning another human being was a crime either, should we all go out and buy a slave?

I don’t know what to tell you dude, when you chose to break the law you chose to accept the consequences of your actions if you got caught. I’m sorry but sometimes those consequences follow you for the rest of your life and it is what it is.

What do you want from us? No matter what you say I’m not going to support the idea that you should just carry a gun illegally as you freely admit to doing.

You profess Christianity; the Bible says very clearly that unless you are being instructed to do something that directly contradicts God’s word you obey the law of the land and the law of the land is you can’t own a gun.

If it’s that important to you get a lawyer and get your rights restored.

Why is that so hard to understand?

Rights restoration is impossible in Illinois Treo. All the money in the world can't buy what comes for free in Alabama after 5 years.

I'm not looking for any answers from you. I've got my answer and it works fine. My rights are in full effect.
I'm trying to get you people to understand that human rights trump BS laws.

It takes courage to fight that. I'm not comparing myself to any of the founding fathers. The man who lit the lantern in the church for Paul Revere told his wife to "take care of the children" before he walked out the door. Contrast that with all this talk about "can I carry my firearm in my trunk without a safe" crap we are talking about today.

That's my quest here. We've reached an impasse. The politicians we keep putting in office won't stand up for us. And we won't stand up for ourselves.

We sound like the beaten wife who says, "but he lets me go to bingo in Thursday for an hour" --- and that makes all the other abuse okay.

Great comparrison, since wife beating will cause you to lose the right to bear arms, I guess that will make you a champion for their rights as well.

And as far as your "rights being in effect" you don't need to find new ways to say you are carrying illegally, you have already admitted it in other posts.

And I don't think most politicians have a priority list that has "make a felon feel warm and fuzzy".

I wouldn't say we have hit an impasse, i think you have hit a brick wall.

Go back to your bridge, troll.
If he can prove that he's working for God, I'll reconsider.

It's funny how we will trust "them" to walk unhindered in the public streets of society, and yet we deem "them" too dangerous to possess a firearm, but at the same time we trust "them" to obey the law that prohibits "them" from possessing firearms. I'm not making this statement about your post in particular, I am making this statement about our society and lack of justice system.
We, as individuals, don't trust them. Our laws are enacted under the influence of the bleeding hearts of America. Anyone who trusts them is ignorant to the truth.

The passage of time doesn't "heal" a violent predicate offender. They all claim to be rehabilitated. They claim to no longer be a threat. Many claim they have found God. They lie. They're aren't called CONS for nothing. I'll tell you who doesn't heal with time... the family of the victim. They serve a life sentence of misery. Explain your sympathy toward violent felons to my wife who has never recovered from the experience of finding her nine-year-old brother molested and stabbed. Everyone thinks they understand this topic. They watch the news. They see the stories of the sensless killings. And then they get to go to bed and forget about it. The perp, who's a sociopath devoid of sympathy, empathy or guilt also goes to bed with a clean conscience. The family of the victim doesn't get to go to bed. They get to have lifelong nightmares and anguish. One is never absolved of being a violent felon. Recidivism is the key to understanding violent predicate offenders. Only a fool willingly restores gun rights to these people.

Read this article if you want to see the affect of a violent felon on a family. Read his statements to the press. Feel the anger towards me. Observe this animal painting me as the real bad guy. So roll out the welcome wagon and restore his gun rights when he moves in next door. Maybe he'll ask to take YOUR kids on an overnight camping trip. Are you letting them go? Are you comfortable at work knowing this guy lives next door while your kids are playing in the yard? You want to hand him the weapon? Nuts. Experience is the greatest teacher in life. Hopefully you'll never get to know this anguish.

You can claim human rights trump BS laws all you want, but you don't fight laws *you* think are unjust by simply ignoring them. They are still the laws put into place by the society you are a member of. You fight them by keeping your nose squeaky clean and getting them changed.

You knew it was a crime when you committed it, and you have no justification for your complaints at all. You did the crime, now do the time, and shut up about it.
