What's your plan....

practice, practice, practice

reload my own and practice a lot-a lot of believe that lead is becoming a very precious metal. Do you have enough?

Answer again, come and take it, be willing to die trying as I am willing to die keeping my weapons. Every country that has taken weapons from the people control the people. Obama forgets this goverenment of the people, he has no respect for America, has shown it through his associations.

when the fed's. or whoever Obama send's to take your gun's away? It's going to happen sooner or later i'm afraid. He's pretty hell bent on being the exhaulted supreme leader.

Too much real life going on right now with real world possibilities to sit around dreaming up crazy half-baked notions to fret about.

Well, I don't believe he'll be around long enough to do that. Even if he manages to milk out another four years, that's not long enough to accomplish something like that.

Based on abuse of innocent apostrophes, I hereby move the quoted poster's Concealed Punctuation Permit be revoked. Also his Spelling Registration shall be suspended, pending a certified spelling class.

Wirednun, it's good to see another member of the Grammar Police! I issued a citation just the other day for negligent punctuation use.

fine call me name's or whatever. But let's not forget Obama has already signed a pact with the u.n to ban weapons, He is wanting to get this started in 2012.Just saying he is the most anti-gun president we have ever had and i think it will get worse.

THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE EVERYONE'S GUNS AWAY! BEWARE....BEWARE! It might be as soon as this month.

That being said.....I'm a firearm dealer. I sell guns. Anybody need a gun? Cheapest prices around! Better get 'em now before it's too late! Don't be left out folks. When they come, you'll need something to give 'em. Or something to fight 'em off with. HURRY BEFORE THEY'RE GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!Let me know what you need.:pleasantry:
Great sales pitch! Remember the great ammo shortage of 2009-2010? People panicked after the 2008 election and it drove prices higher as demand increased. Our CCW permit services and training classes were booked months in advance.

In addition, I think it would spell trouble for the future of the party. Dems are smart enough to know that many millions of voters like their shooting sports.

Quite a number of posters here think there is no reason for concern on this matter. I am not so optimistic but I hope those posters are right and I'm wrong. If Obama decides he has no chance at re-election, he will likely pull all the stops out and push this as the other half of his legacy. Don't forget how quickly and easily the mis-named PATRIOT Act was passed.

The Oathkeepers are a great group. I wish I knew how many there are. Also, what percentage of the LEOs are members or at least supporters. If gun confiscation cannot come via the existing US personnel (LEOs, military, National Guard, etc.) the UN won't hesitate to provide the troops needed.

As far as it being a conspiracy theory, a conspiracy is any time two or more plan something in secret. The only conspiracy now is the specific steps that are being planned. The concept is well known and well publicized.

Yes, it may well start the second American Revolution.

Hey bc1 do you sell on gunbroker?
No. I list sometimes on armspost but most of our business comes from the county pistol permit departments around lower NYS. Once a person takes a class with us all future classes are deeply discounted... sort of keeping it in the family. We maintain a large database of past clients and publish a monthly schedule through email. We also deeply discount for USA Carry members and have had quite a number of posters take PP classes.

While I appreciate anyone who acts as a watchdog for my gun rights, I just don't believe it's possible to wake up one morning and find new laws enacted requiring me to hand over my firearms to the government, all without warning. Any such process would be long, arduous, and open to attack from an immensely powerful gun-lobby. I also consider it highly unlikely. Obama and many other gun-hating politicians may be socialists but they're not Stalin. They can't simply wave their hand and enact a law that totally negates a basic constitutional right.

Checks & Balances - been working for 200+ yrs.

Two 155mm howitzers would do nicely!

Too much real life going on right now with real world possibilities to sit around dreaming up crazy half-baked notions to fret about.

Unfortunately these are not half-baked notions. There has been a move afoot for years through the UN to disarm everyone. The Secretary of State and POTUS have signed off on it and it actually can come to pass. England and Australia have taken up weapons from their citizens and they will try the same thing here. Not everyone in this country will bow down to such tyranny but, as mentioned in a previous post, you will only be able to use your weapon once. Then your butt will be carted off to jail as was the man in England who shot and killed a BG breaking into his home. It is strictly forbidden for the British to possess a gun, even for self-defense. There was more uproar over him having a shotgun than saving his life. He was vilified while the BG was made out to be a good old boy rather than a criminal. It definitely can happen so rather than think it to be a half-baked notion, you should be making your contingency plans for when it happens.

It will happen in the same sneaking, surreptitious manner all gun laws have come about previously:
In a slow, disguised, "reasonable", manner, step by step, one state, one city, one county at a time so as to not overwhelm the law enforcement resources required and to continue to dupe the public at large, "Yeah, they're consfiscating guns in California, but they'll never do it here in (enter state name here)". Bit by bit, inch by inch, never enough to make ALL the people mad at the same time because they know that "divide and conquer" works like a charm every time with all those "reasonable, law abiding Americans" who really don't care what happens to their neighbors, just as long as they get to listen to that sweet siren song that from their own politicians that, "don't worry, you are SPECIAL, you are are exempt".....and have no doubt, you will be exempt....until the day when suddenly YOU AREN'T exempt and you find yourself disarmed, helpless, with too few allies left to even think of fighting back.
Keep deluding yourselves. That is exactly how we got to THIS SORRY STATE, after all.
It is amazing to me that although we ALL KNOW how and why things have reached this level and that we only have our own inaction to blame for it, that the herd is still asleep out there and ready to be led around by the nose again and again.
Bad things are coming for us all.
Count on it.

Thankfully, the opposite of gun control has been happening in state after state, thanks to the efforts of many, which affirms my belief in the democratic process. It's when the process is subverted that gives cause for concern, as when martial law is declared, your own your way to your bug out location, and come up on a check point. Confiscation and abuse of power could cause you to lose your weapons, and even while I'm writing this, realize I need at least two caches of weapons and ammo, in addition to food and supplies. Then realizing I don't have the $$. WRT, a second American Revolution, ehh, for that to happen, the will of the states will have had to have been subverted. It could happen, but when all fifty states secede, whatcha gonna do? DC is a small piece of dirt when you come right down to it. If martial law comes, as in widespread civil unrest, I'm going to play it as cool as I can. No shots are going to be fired at uniformed troops, unless they're under a foreign flag, as in UN. As long as troops disobey orders to unlawfully detain US citizens, it shouldn't be a problem. The possiblity of widespread social collapse is remote, food riots and the like could happen, but just like the riots in UK, they won't accomplish anything except localized destruction. I plan to shelter in, unless things get really nasty, then bug out to my hunting AO with food, water, shelter. Getting there safely is a concern, which is why our group will caravan in several vehicles and attempt to avoid any checkpoints. It's thirty miles, so on foot isn't out of the question. If you don't have a bug out location, I recommend considdering putting up plywood over downstairs windows, and be ready to take out any zombies who attempt entry.

Sounds like a good plan. You epitimize the boy scout motto of "be prepared." I too believe that civil unrest will remain localized in the event of food shortages, temporary financial collapse, natural disasters or even a terrorist attack. As I watch the morning financial reports it appears today is gonna be another wild ride in the markets... a response to big losses overseas last evening. We live in a global economy whereby the economic difficulties of some countries may affect worldwide markets.

I don't believe the government will ever resort to such severe actions against its own people. Considering the number of states that have enacted concealed carry, castle doctrine and stand-your-ground laws over the past ten years, I believe "states rights" will prevail. The issue of gun control is actually moving in favor of the will of the people, not toward some grand conspiracy of confiscation. This despite the actions and wishes of gun control groups. Some of my best friends are democrats and liberals who hunt, fish and have CCW permits. My bug out (or dig-in) plans are geared toward survivng temporary financial collapse or perhaps a "super-flu" whereby businesses may have to temporarily close and medical services would be strained... but not based on the actions of our government. I believe in America, I love this country and would never take up arms against her. We are not a dictatorship and I believe democracy and the will of the people will always prevail.
