IT professional. Work for a religious social services company in Milwaukee. Luckily I'm not stuck behind a computer screen EVERY day... I support all our southern offices.

Several years ago, I awoke early one morning and said to myself "I'm not gonna work anymore." Went down to the Social Security office and applied for my $642 a month. Before that, I skived gussets, was a shaker on a garbage truck, hopped on an armored car. In fact, I once had three jobs in one day. I guess you could say, I did it all, but my last job was as a writer (three books, numerous magazine pieces and a weekly column that ran nationally on over 100 papers), not bad for a guy with only an 8th grade education. Anyhow, I am now old and rickety, with a 14 year old daughter--I know why bears eat their young--and a 16 year old son, who is 6"5" and weighs 280; I can no longer yell at him. I spend two or three hours a day reading these comment places. Recently decided to offer FREE LTC classes

I too use to be a commercial/ industrial electrical and saw the jobs leave my state. Luckily I am young enough and saved up enough money to go back to school and peruse my other option which is nursing.... I graduate in December of '12

Automotive tech since 16 yrs old. Now taking civil service exam to become some sort of law enforcer. Hoping dnr.
Married since August 13 2010 (twas a Friday). Lol. Owned 2 beautiful dobermans until wife's psycho mom and dad kicked us out for giving them 600 dollars for rent that they never shut up about even though we were the only 2 out of 8 people paying their bills. Sorry got of track there for a minute.
Tired of being mistreated. About to become the mistreater. 23 yrs old now and can't even afford a place of my own even though I'm a fully licensed mechanic. Wrong career choice for Michigan I guess. Any suggestions? Try not to be rude, I've dealt with it my whole life. Rude is a bad suggestion or maybe not. How should I know I'm just a dumb kid.

Stop kicking yourself, It's been tough out there! It's cutthroat being in business General Contractor. I work as a carpenter whenever work comes along. Personal Security for a few VIP's when needed or requested. Not much work out there.
