What kind of work did you do? I like the extra creep. The length of pull seems just right for my hands.

I polished the contact areas on the trigger transfer bar, ground away the two ridges on the frame that the transfer bar rubs against, took the large spring off the part that the trigger cocks to release the striker (can't remember it's name), dab of grease on the rails. It went from gritty and heavy to smooth and lighter trigger pull. It really improved my accuracy a lot and follow up shots a lot quicker.
2200+ rounds now with not one hiccup. I carry it most days now.

Hmmmm maybe I'll try that. I'm just not sure how that would affect accuracy for me since the factory setting seems to be perfect for me. I could become near perfect or suddenly be shooting low left. What to do what to do?

I still believe the .380 is becoming the number one carry caliber. The range I go to the majority of people carry .380. Besides .380 I believe the .38 and 9mm are next. Sure there are people who like big calibers, but most people simply want something easy to conceal that will get someone off them if something happens. I carried a .45 for 4 years, now I carry a .380 or .32 because follow up shots are faster and they will do the job. I'm not worried if the bad guy lives, long as the threat is stopped. But to be honest, .380 or .32 in center mass can put out your lights.

I carry a 45 Bersa Thunder Pro Compact, Wife has S&W M&P 9C and daughter has S&W M&P 40. We each have our favorites but bottom line is whatever works to protect us is what we want.

The question should have taken into consideration who carries a handgun all of the time instead of what is your favorite caliber.

All of the people I know who carry all the time carry either a 32 or 380 in a pokcet holster and a 38 smith revolver.

The calibers mentioned in this forum are too large for everday 16 hour carry.

Just my 2 cents

Then try the Springfield XDS in either 9mm or .45ACP. I carry the 9mm all day IWB carry very comfotably and I have arthritis in my back. That is why I switched from a Glock 22 to the XDS.

A buddy of mine had the xd 40 springfeild and even as a full size sidearm that thing hid very nice with a uncle mike in side the pant I have the sd40 by snith and wesson and I find mine to be easly hidden in the small of my back yet not very comfortable to drive or sit with

I would have to say the best choice would be the 40cal. I use a Glock 22 Gen 4 and when I want can switch out the 40cal barrel with the lonewolf 357 barrel and have a 357. 2 guns in one. They are both very powerful rounds and have a lot better velocity and range than your 45's, 9mm and some of the others.

I believe in the .40S&W. First, it is a bigger bullet than the 9mm. While not as large as the .45Cal it still packs a punch. Also, like the 9mm, many .40's are capable of holding up to 14 rounds unlike the .45 which is capable of only half as many rounds. Secondly, the kick of a .40 is somewhat heavier than the 9mm, but not as bad as the .45. Also, the newer XD's are smaller and easier to conceal than the large frame .45's. JMO

According to the chart it is 9mm, .40, .45, .380 but I bet if you were to take another poll it would be 9mm, .380, .40, .45 I meet a lot of people with a .380 at the range, and more new .380 guns keep coming out all the time. I carry either a .380 or a .32
