I carry a Springfield Armory XD-45 anytime I leave the house, and occasionally, have my wife's Rossi SS 5-shot, .38 spl as a BU. I feel the popularity of a handgun means nothing, as each of us has an opinion about what the perfect gun is. You know what tehy say about opinions, they are like navels, everyone has one. The popularity of any gun means less to me than a bucket of warm spit. I chose my particular weapon for ease of use, reliablity and number of rounds. It is not a novice's gun, as it takes some knowledge about firearms to be prficient and safe with it.

The Ruger Super Redhawk chambered in .480 Ruger ought to be the prime choice. I carry mine under vest with a 3-9x50 scope.

It's the smallest adequate manstopper. Get one and dress around the gun.

What am I the only one carrying a Colt Combat Commander .38 Super? Also a .45 Springield 1911a1 frame. Cross Breed Deluxe IWB.

One gun that I like now is the Ruger LC9 9mm. It feels pretty good in the hand, recoil is moderate, and it feels decent when holstered. I give it a 7.5 out of 10.

I checked the Taurus 605, although I actually carry the Taurus 617... very similar in that both are similar designs in the .357 Magnum, but mine is a 7 shot vs the 5 shot 605. Have no idea how you plan to add every gun carried for self defense, but good luck! OBTW, I also own a Beretta Px4 9mm, but would never carry it as my self defense weapon.. not enough bite, even with the 17 round magazine!
