I just checked back on this and absolutly cannot beleive the LCP leads the pack, for CC, unless its a deal like my sister got one and she likes it so I got one, then my brother bought one for his daughter, and she thinks its pretty, etc, etc, truth is for me anyhow that little gun is the last thing I would carry for self defence, :angry:
Well, thing is it may NOT lead the pack for Primary CC. I carry a Kimber 1911 Ultra Carry in .45 carried s.o.b.. , but I ALSO have my LCP in my right front pocket or on my ankle. I 'spect a lotta votes for the little Ruger were from guys like me. I know several of the local sheriffs depts. here in N. GA just ordered them as backups for all their personnel. I carry what I do because I can consistently shoot 2 1/2" groups into a 12"X18" target at 25 yards with the Kimber U.C.
But, I can also put the first round out of the LCP into the same chest sized target at 10 yards, the second round into a 6"X6" target (neck) at 5 yards and shots three thru 6 six in a 6 inch circle (face) at 2 yards or less, all day long. That will relax enough the most ardent attacker which is what I require. At any rate, they also are popular alternatives to KelTec and Bersa for max conceal-ability and yes the girls like them too.

Add the BG380 to the list with a vote. Just got one, was on the waiting list about 2 weeks. I've only put 100 rds threw it so far, and like it. I wanted something small for those days My Sig was to bulky to carry. If anyone around Harrison wants to check it out, I have my own range on my property, BYOA.

So far, LCP is 1st and Glock is 2nd
In reviewing the current results, the Ruger LCP is way ahead of all the rest, but it is interesting that the Glocks in various models are in 2nd place.
Nice to have my decision to carry a Glock confirmed by this interesting poll.

In addition to voting for my EDC and BUG which were already on the list, I occasionally substitute my SIG P229 EDC with a Wilson Combat Carry Pistol. And I've got to tell you, I really like that Bill Wilson special in .45 ACP. It may very well become my EDC although will require some procedural memory training to ensure the safety always comes off when the pistol clears leather. For sure I'm more accurate with the Bill Wilson Carry Pistol on follow-up shots but in practical terms what's the difference of a slightly larger grouping when you're talking about a relatively short range weapon used primarily for defensive purposes.

its been a while since I commented on this, but to see that the LCP is so far out in front is disgusting, I would never recamened one of those tiny 380s as a main personal defence weapon, there are some that are fairly bullitproof so to speak, but the ruger and the others made like it, should be used for back up....maybe.......and then only after its had 3 or 4 hundred rds through it.....without a jam or misfire.......if some get upset over this so be it, I'm am speaking from personal experiance
