I am currently in the Army and am a SSG in the INFANTRY!

I was E-5 when I got out. Second Class Petty Officer -- Jet Engine Mechanic. (ADJ2). U.S. Navy for those from Rio Linda.

I got out just about a year ago as an Infantry Squad Leader. I was an SGT in the US Army. I did a total of three sandbox tours. Two trips with 1AD, and 1 tour with the 101st ABN.

SFC US ARMY. Retired two years ago June 2008 after 21 years of service. No I work for the VA in Huntington WV.

rikkor - when were you on active duty? Back in the day I remember when the Navy had ADJ's and ADR's.

I was active duty from 12-1965 until 10-1969. Duty Stations: San Diego, Memphis, and Kingsville TX.

Retired AF Msgt 1985 Served with all services. Found a new life with graet education provided a landed a great job in CNY for a public utility. Doing well & 63. God bless all who served. I'm a proud combat vet.

Active Army SFC/E7.
20 years and still going.
Four deployment tours, Iraq 04-05 and 08-09 and Afghanistan03 and 06-07.
The family is happy that I am home for a while, promised momma and the kids 24 months at home.
Good thing, my position makes that happen.
Best to all of you who have served, we make it happen, all 1% of us.
To stay in this long one has to either be sick or in love with what they do.
I am not sick, though my wife begs to differ.:biggrin:

USAF Sgt (e-4) got out after four years

Did 4 years as a RA in the ASA branch of the US Army. Got out as a SPC 5. MOS was 32F20 Fixed Ciphony Repair. Did a year in Nam with the 509th RRG at Tan Son Nhut from Mar '67 to Mar. '68. Son has been in Reg. Army almost 10 years now. Has done tours in Bosnia and Iraq; currently at Ft. Riley, Ks. RODGE

11 years US Army. Ordnance branch. ETS 1985. Dept of Army civ. from 1986 until retirement in 2007. Still serving as an American Legion active.

For the longest time I regretted being medically retired as I missed the structure in my life. Still, I can say without reservation, the government got more than their share from me. Now, it wasn’t glamorous and it sure as hell wasn't heroic, but it was eventful ~

I was an E-4 in the Army, though for my last year I was in a Section Sergeant position in Iraq.

I made PFC 3 times :sarcastic: and ended up a E-4 before I got out but that was back in the old days right after Vietnam and they couldn't keep anyone in the army everyone was coming back and getting out then they even had a deal (not me) where a judge could give you the option of jail or the military.
