Walmart Done Went Crazy !

That is the exact type person who is ruining the shooting sport, and showing the Nation that firearm people are just hoarding fools. I saw four boxs of Win White box.45acp at my local WalMart the other day. Since I have enough to shoot on my next range trip, I just left it for someone who might need it. If I had bought any it would have just been one or two. I know others also want Ammo.

Just curious... how much ammo does one have to have stocked up to be labeled a hoarding fool?

I don't think she is clueless, just a left wing control freak. Her statements are probably factually true, just totally irrelevant. "More and more people ... " That's only two. "Thousands of gun owners support common sense gun legislation." Sure, thousands of us think the Second Amendment is sensible. There are probably over 2000 people in the country who own guns that think the general public shouldn't own a fully automatic .50 cal machine gun. That's "thousands".

Bottom line: She is just an idiot who would confiscate anything that shoots a bullet if she could.

She's even said as much. (Not the idiot part, obviously)

Went into my local Walmart today, I overheard the assistant manager telling customer that Walmart would not be stocking any more ammunition until Washington decides what it can and can not do. Won't be going back there for a while.

As for the comment above about how much ammo you have to have to be considered a hoarding fool, I buy what I can afford and save what I don't shoot. I'll stop buying when I stop shooting or run out of money or room to store it. Didn't several government agencies(excluding the military) recently order in excess of 250,000,000 rounds. They can't pay for it and it will damn sure cost a small fortune to store it, let's ask the government what their thought is of a hoarding fool. No doubt the response will be different than yours or mine.

I'm right with you on that. If I want to buy every box of ammo on the shelf, that's my perogative. It neither makes me a hoarder nor a fool.

I don't generally buy storebought ammunition except for carry. I tend to keep three or four boxes of that on hand. About every three or four months I'll shoot the box I've been loading from and buy another one. Other than that I shoot my reloads.

Except for shotgun. Target loads (at least up till recently) are cheap enough that loading them doesn't make sense.

But I don't get it... Feinstein keeps telling us that more and more people are in favor of a magazine limitation so why would everyone want pallet loads of ammo?

Of course the above just shows how clueless she really is! Guns sales are off the charts!! Ammo sales are off the charts!!
Who the heck is she talking about then when she says thousands of gun owners support common sense gun legislation?

Looks more to me that everyone and their mother is buying up all the weapons and ammo that can be found!

Don't forget that most of Finklestein's constituents are probably well off liberals and hail from the land of fruits and nuts so the deluded old bitty thinks everyone in the country thinks like her and her constituents. Those people get too much sun and it turns their brains to jello.

Like the little crime infested cow town I reside in. Our Mayor and his hand picked Chief of Police, tell everyone when you are in fear for your life you don't need a firearm, all you need is to just call 911 then get down on your knees and pray. Well we just had four (4) woman executed in an apartment last week. There all dead and no one was SAW nuttin I mean NAWTHIN. Our worthless cops have not a clue as to who killed them. Maybe if just one of the woman would have had a handgun just maybe some of them might still be alive today.

I've actually been very lucky at my LGS and ****'s Sporting Goods.
I bought 150rnds of .40 cal Blazer ( they had a ton of it! ) and just 100rnds of .380 S&B ammo.
Don't worry too much about the .380 stuff as I have the Taurus TCP and its not the kind of gun you want to shoot hundreds of rounds through at a time.
I am also lucky with the .40 cal stuff for PD & range ammo. It seems that there is always lots of forty caliber to be had so its now my primary range and PD carry piece.
By the way, the .380 S&B was 9.97 for a box of fifty rounds. That went quick so I bought the last two boxes to have on hand.
I have also been collecting boxes of twenty count PD ammo fairly regularly.
I have a good supply of it for the forty cal but my 9mm is suffering!
I can find much of anything for the nine!

I bought a S&W Mfg. PPK/s in .380 to carry when I have to wear a suit and a larger handgun is not a good hide. So I am always looking for some .380 to shoot at the range. I don't shoot the PPK a lot but I like to use all my carry guns to be sure they do work.

This is all the carry .45acp I have. And it was bought over around five years a few box's at a time.

Nice selection of ammo, I recently aquirred a 1911 and a Glock 21, and have found some .45 ammo at what I thought was a decent price for target loads. Sad thing is as soon as I buy the ammo I usually have gone to the range and used most of it up. I just have so much fun. Plenty of 9mm and .40 cal stashed though. Gander M had some bulk ammo last week, going to probably pick up 1000 to give me a head start on my hoarding of .45's if they have any left.

I'm not sure how much ammo makes you a "hoarding fool"... but if the rest of "normal society" knew what I have, they'd probably freak.

I've got room for more though, so I'll keep buying... everything from ammo, to mags, to gear. I've been "buying it cheap and staking it deep" for awhile now, glad I planned ahead. I don't think I have a maximum figure though, just to be honest... I'll always think I 'need' more, heh.

You have some freakishly dumb ideas going on there. You must have some liberal blood in your veins, conservatives take the bill of rights for what they say. Liberals twist and distort to try to get what they want. You are truly unique, or a lawyer, one of the two.

If you mean by truly unigue that I am a non-conformist that I can think outside of the box and I am able to think on my own without someone leading me down the garden path. Then yes I AM TRULY UNIQUE and it is time that more of us in the country are. The standard of labeling applies to both sides of this problem you can't get so wrapped in one side or the other that you can't or don't think for yourself. Willingly expressing those views knowing that you will be responsible for you actions at some point in the future. So instead of trying to label someone into a particular train of thought open your mind to free thought and express yourself.

Warbirds you can call me a dog, which checks all things as it passes by and responds accordingly to those I like or dislike. You I like you are willing to express yousself without the normal name calling nonsense. Thanks for the post DOG.

Stock-up now. Write the purchase date on the box. Continually buy enough to regularly sport shoot and rotate the supply. Always keep a base level of supply.

It isn't the sun that does it, it's the bay air. Most of her voters likely don't spend a whole lot of time outdoors anyways.

I know someone who has about 25K rounds of 5.56 on hand. Does that make him a hoarder? Nope, just prepared.

Walmart responds to ‘suspended ammo’ story

The blogosphere has exploded with outrage in response to news that Walmart is suspending ammunition sales in anticipation of the Obama administration’s gun-control recommendations to Congress – but the retail giant tells WND the reports aren’t true.

“That information is inaccurate,” said Ashley Hardie, a spokeswoman located at Walmart’s corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Ark.

WND then asked whether the retail chain is cutting back on orders of ammunition.

“No,” Hardie said. “We’re continuing to serve our customers as we have in the past.”

She said Walmart’s ammunition sales policy has not changed, even amid talk of gun-control legislation in Washington, D.C.

WM may not have "caved"- sure hope they continue to support us as we gun owners don't just buy ammo there.

Nice! I wish I had that much...i hope you date your boxes. I had a few FTFs in a box of Wolf .380 i bought 7 years ago.
Didn't realize the humidity had gotten to them.

I have had Ammo. over thirty (30) years old that shot fine also some of it was even my own reloaded Ammo. I agree if it's Russian Ammo. maybe shoot it quicker. But I see people buying it with dates in the 70s&80s. I buy Brown Bear or their Silver Bear for my AKs. never had a failure with any of it. I never shoot any Russian Ammo. in my ARs or my Handguns.
