Walmart Done Went Crazy !

So the wife had to go to Walmart today to return a few things for the house. Well anyways i told her to check on some ammo for me. Well they had what i needed and she called me back and told me they were only allowing 2 box of ammo per Customer. So i told the wife go get a Manager and she did. Well after waiting and waiting on the phone Manager picks the phone up and says sorry Sir you can have as much ammo as you want. It is amazing how a simple tone in your voice can change things. What the hell is going on with these vendors and stores. I mean come on. If you know the **** is selling. DON'T LIMIT IT. STOCK IT !!!

We had to limit ammo to 100 rounds per customer because if we didn't we wouldn't have any left to sell to anyone else, (we like to make sure we have ammo for each gun we have in the shop) As soon as we got more in we dropped the limit per customer. It is REALLY hard to get ammo in right now.

I was at the ft Polk, LA gun counter at the base exchange today and they, too, were limiting ammo purchases to two boxes a day.

I believe that the ammo manufacturers are running all out to produce the ammo. I rebuilt and serviced industrial machine tools and back in the 80's I rebuilt around 100 machines for Federal Cartridge. There was a run on ammo at that time and they were running as hard as they could to supply their customers. We rebuilt and installed two new lines to produce the hottest caliber at that time which was 9MM. I believe there are a LOT more people buying ammo now than there were back in the 80's. So I do not think there is a conspiracy to limit ammo buys. With record sales in guns it would stand to reason that with more people buying guns they would want ammo.

For those who are still stocking up, it is best to limit each customer so more customers get some. I'd hate to be the only guy on the block still shooting.

Ammo Shortage

Im finding it is almost impossible to find ammo in my area.......The LGS'S here are out completely, Local commercial re loader is out, Walmart is out. Went to ****,s today and when I got in the door 3 people at the counter just cleaned them out of 9mm. Its ridiculous. I have an order Im waiting for, for 1000rds. But I PAID for it for sure. Prices are up there.

Walmart here didn't have to limit me to 2 boxes. That's all they had. They only had a few boxes of regular ball ammo as well.

Personal defense ammo of nearly any kind is just about impossible to find in Omaha.

Same 500 round limit at Cabela's here too. Regular ball in 9mm is getting more limited as well, but Cabela's routinely has a variety.

same here in east tennessee. at walmart today and they had almost no ammo at all. 2 boxes of 30-06 and some shotgun shells with a few .22s. that was it. no hand gun ammo at all. the associate said it was on order but it was sold almost as fast as he could get it on the shelves. i have a fairly good inventory but can't go shoot much at all as i am afraid i won't be able to restock. sucks.

The local scheels store here in Iowa has a limit of 500 rounds of pistol and 1000 rounds of rifle ammo per person. and the prices have gone up a bit.

But I don't get it... Feinstein keeps telling us that more and more people are in favor of a magazine limitation so why would everyone want pallet loads of ammo?

Of course the above just shows how clueless she really is! Guns sales are off the charts!! Ammo sales are off the charts!!
Who the heck is she talking about then when she says thousands of gun owners support common sense gun legislation?

Looks more to me that everyone and their mother is buying up all the weapons and ammo that can be found!

Stock it with what? There's a nationwide component shortage, where have you been? The ONLY reason I've been able to start stocking up again is because the stores are putting limits in place to stop 1 single person from clearing them out when and if they are resupplied. 2 boxes is low, but right now it's needed to make sure more people are able to buy

When you have local dealer stealer's paying many Walmart stocker's to give them a heads up when supplies of Ammo. reach their stores, and they show up and to buy all the Ammo before any of the other people have a chance to buy even one box. I see it as a good thing to start limiting just how much a person can buy at one time. The HOARDERS will always find ways to grab it all, but if they can be slowed down some I feel it's good.

Who plays fair in a gun fight?

So I'm not playing fair because I buy 1000 and 500 rds at a time.

Sorry, I live in the country and I'm the only guy on the block.

Limiting ammo sales is a form of censorship, it restricts my right under The Constitution to express myself while defending myself.

Sorry if I hurt anybodys feel bads. lol That too is covered by The Constitution.

Please site where in the Constitution it states that private retail doesn't have the right to limit quantities OR refuse sales all together! You should get a lawyer and sue every retail store and supermarket in existence, because coupons have been doing that since their invention. Nobody said you can't buy 500 or 1000rds at a time, but maybe you should exercise a little common sense and keep levels up and realize that supply and demand is a very real thing minus the fact there's a nationwide shortage. You sit here and wine about purchase limits, yet aren't smart enough to realize that the same limits your crying about is the ONLY reason your able to buy anything at this point!

Sad when people complain about the very thing that's actually HELPING them!

Don't worry though, you didn't hurt my "feel bads".

I wish my Walmart had a ammo limit.
I was planing on going shooting since it was a nice 60 degree day here.I went in Walmart Saturday morning. All i wanted was a 500 round box of .22 a 50 round box of 9mm and a 50 round box of .45
Well the guy in front of me bought almost every box of ammo they had left. The prick had the nerve to turn and smile when he heard me ask the counter person for one box off .22
