It will be interesting to see how this plays out...

Good for them. More people need to be taking a stand. There are times where the dirtbags in municipalities are worse than the feds.

Let um practice at the Mayor's house. It is not the cops per se, it is the idiot politicos who look in the mirror everyday and make sure their noses are the same color as our esteemed ruler's yada yada.

I don't know man, seems like there's plenty of reasons to be afraid of cops these days independent of the politicians that run them.....

It is LA after all. It's a perfect example of what happens when you legislate based off what a couple animals due. It turns everyone into animals.

Well, just like the Vermont gun range, what I think that picture shows is that we don't need any gun control, we need cop control. Kudos to the range-owners for recognizing that. A pox on all the attempted murderers in Torrance/Redondo Beach, CA who thought they were trying to assassinate Dorner instead of three innocent women.

At least Mr. Baruth had some common sense (the same thing they're claiming we don't have) and withdrew his proposals from the state level. As you can imagine some people were up-in-arms throwing a tantrum whining that he did this, and there's still people proposing ridiculous laws at the state level (an AWB\10 rd magazine limit, etc), but there's a lot of us in this state fighting them so I don't feel they really stand a chance.

Anyway, I heard about the club doing this a while ago and gave them a phone call. Good on them for standing up. It may hurt the individual officers that don't practice regularly (did I mention we had 8 murders statewide in 2011, and it's pretty damned rare for a shootout, let alone a situation where they have to draw?), but it is a statement to the city regardless that trying to screw us common folk will only end up screwing them.
