The **** does that have to do with single/double stack magazines?
Not even back from your time out for 24 hours, but you're right back to humpin' legs and posting vulgarities that can't make it past the auto-censor, huh?
The **** does that have to do with single/double stack magazines?
I'm not addressing what YM said. I'm addressing what you said.
Read the book, it's available on EBay for around 5 bucks. Morell has Rambo reflecting in the mineshaft that he wanted another taste of combat and that he wanted to show Teasle (a Chosin Reservoir survivor) that he was the better man and that that the Madison PD had picked the wrong guy to mess with.
That's the character David Morell created.
You are very likely to just start dumping rounds into the attacker until he/she appears to fall down or run away. By the time that happens, your gun may run dry. With anything low capacity, you should train the Mozambique drill.
Thanks for the tip. Let us know how your proposed reading assignment goes over at Oprah's Book Club.
If a bad guy seriously threatens to kill me or harm my wife, I can put one in his left eye and another in his right eye. If he's somehow still coming, he gets one between the eyes.
Best of luck with that, let us know how it works out for you
Now who's being disrespectful? You don't know me or my level of marksmanship under stress. I've been shot at more than once in combat situations, and I'm still kicking more than 50 years later. The "bad guys" have since turned to bones and dust. You are very likelyto just start dumping rounds into the attacker until he/she appears to fall down or run away. By the time that happens, your gun may run dry. With anything low capacity, you should train the Mozambique drill.
Most days I carry a 9mm with 7 or 8 rounds and a pocket mouse with 7 or 8 in a smaller caliber. If a bad guy seriously threatens to kill me or harm my wife, I can put one in his left eye and another in his right eye. If he's somehow still coming, he gets one between the eyes. Trust me, I do not BS about things like this.
Back on topic about single-stack vs. double-stack handguns, i.e., low vs. large capacity, most underestimate or misunderstand self defensive situations. You are very likely to just start dumping rounds into the attacker until he/she appears to fall down or run away. By the time that happens, your gun may run dry. With anything low capacity, you should train the Mozambique drill. A guy showed up at the range last week with his .45 ACP 1911. He didn't practice his draw at all. The first shots he fired at a steel target, he emptied the magazine. Only one hit out of 8 rounds. That's exactly how I expect this guy to perform in a self defensive situation, running dry with one positive hit.
You are telling me that you can consistently hit a 1 inch target at, let's say, 24 feet distance with your handgun while being shot at, the target is moving, and you had better be moving as well?
Been there, done that.
There fixed it for youYou are telling me that you can consistently hit a 1 inch target at, let's say, 24 feet distance with your handgun while being shot at, the target is moving, and you had better be moving as well?
Well, I was trying to be respectful in terms of one's physical ability to move at that age.

I am assuming you used a rifle while in combat. We are talking about using pistols in a self defensive shooting. A self defensive shooting is not military combat.
Given your comments in this thread, I conclude that you do misunderstand self defensive situations or have an odd sense of humor. This talk about putting one in someone's left eye and another in his right eye is just that, talk. The diameter of an eye is a little bit less than an inch. You are telling me that you can consistently hit a 1 inch target at, let's say, 24 feet distance with your handgun while being shot at, the target is moving, and you are potentially moving as well?
You're the one that claimed that what I said wasn't true. I merely offered you a chance to prove me wrong (or not).
BluesStringer said:HA! Even if that's true, which I do not concede, do you believe ol' YankeeMarshal knew that and was referring to the book character rather than the movie character?
That's not your line. You're supposed to accuse me of changing my custom user title or some **** like you did last time. I see you still do nothing but make these crybaby posts, mallninja.
I've been on a dozen other gun forums calling people out on their nonsense just as I call you out on this forum. You say it's trolling because it pisses you off. Way to not take responsibility for yourself there.
So please, double/single stack mags or stfu mallninja![]()
My sidearm was a M1911, carried a M14 or a M60. Believe me, some combat situations are truly "defensive" and were closer than 24 feet. My eye sight is not as sharp but I can still hit a quarter-size target at bad breath distance. Some skills are never forgotten but I do spend time at the range quite often.
Yet another off-topic post, mallninja.
He's blocked me for calling him out on his "I'm gona start killing people" video; I don't take issue with how he feels, or even if he acted on it, but posting a video of you outright threatening heads of state is beyond dumb. Yeager has a lot of good things to say, the video you post being an example, and I suspect that when push comes to shove Yeager will put many on this forum to shame buy actually doing something about it.
I guess I need to post more James Yeager videos to educate people.
There is no difference between a military gun fight, a police gun fight, and a civilian gun fight. A gun fight is a gun fight. The clothes you happen to be wearing at the moment are irrelevant.Do you train and practice the Mozambique drill? Shooting is a perishable skill. I am assuming you used a rifle while in combat. We are talking about using pistols in a self defensive shooting. A self defensive shooting is not military combat.
