It's not really about right or wrong. I simply don't have belief that there is a god, nor do I have belief that there isn't. I have to actually hold a belief about something in order to be wrong in that belief.

I apologize, I thought you said you did not believe there is a God...

The fact that I do not believe that a god exists makes me an atheist.

You actually don't have a belief either way?

I certainly did say I do not believe there is a god. You're correct to think that. You can go back and still read that post, if you like.

Right, I don't have a belief either way. I do not believe that there isn't a god, I also do not believe that there is a god. Those are two beliefs that I do not hold.

The only thing I hate is EVIL. I don't hate you, I hate the EVIL that possesses you.

So while you evaded answering a yes/no question with a yes or no response, I am going to conclude that you statement above can be interperted as NO, you do not hate Santa or the Easter Bunny (please feel free to correct me if you actually do hate them).

Therefore I ask why you do not hate Santa. It is because he is a good guy, and you really like him and he has always brought you lots of stuff at Christmas. Or could it possibly be because you know Santa is just a character from a childhood folklore, purely imaginary?

That is why I don't hate your god, for he/she/it is purely imaginary. As the evil you think possess me, just more of the silly nonsense of religion.

You're an atheist and you believe in God?

You are an atheist, there are hundreds or perhaps thousands of gods you don't believe in. Ask youself why you don't believe in them, then you will understand why atheists believe in zero gods.

Or perhaps there is a god, but not your god, and every time your worship 'your' god, the real god is getting really really pissed off....... :sarcastic:

It has been said many many many times on this forum how smart you are....by a lot of peo...well actually by You!

sinful nature is always hostile to God....

Haha, are you trying to address anyone in particular, or are you just kind of rambling at the group?

FACT: Smarter (higher IQ) and better educated people are less likely to be theists. That's why 85% of the members of the National Academy of Sciences are non-believers, and those in the field of biology have the highest rates of non-belief (so much for the god created man from a dirt clod and spit, and woman from his rib nonsense).

I would think being indifferent would firmly plant you in the agnostic group...an atheist isn't indifferent, and has chosen one side.

I would think being indifferent would firmly plant you in the agnostic.

Not being of the opinion that it is currently possible to know whether or not a god exists is what makes one agnostic.

an atheist isn't indifferent, and has chosen one side.

Some of them are, but not all. I, as an example, am an atheist that hasn't "chosen one side." I don't think either "side" (those that believe there is a god vs. those that believe there isn't) have evidence sufficient to prove their belief either way.

Science proves, there has to be a creator. It is scientifically impossible for things to just happen.

If this video doesn't start you thinking, there are 2 more in the series, but 1 should do it for an intelligent person.

I actually clicked on and watched that video, but had to turn it off after about 4:20. All that I saw was a sales pitch for this guy's books. The final absurd straw was his claim that "I learned that evolution is based entirely on faith." I'm not sure where he learned that, but whoever taught him that should look into the common cold virus. If one has ever had a cold more than once, they are nothing but foolish to question evolution.

Theists say that science proves it, but actual scientists say otherwise.

But I would expect nothing less from The Restored Church of God, clearly a group with an agenda, which they don't even deny.

But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
John 20:31

I have heard, read and seen all the theories about the universe, life and evolution. I have always thought that while these "so called" theories may sound good at first, they do not answer many questions that I have.

Such as the Big Bang Theory! When I look up on a clear sky at night I see more stars and galaxies than I could ever count. I must ask where did ALL the matter come from to form all stars and galaxies that I can see. I know that it is said that that the matter was so dense and compact that that is where all we see came from, but WHERE DID THIS MATTER COME FROM????

Second, on evolution! If we, humans, came from apes, monkeys or whatever, then why do we not find other "pre-humans" around this planet?

As to how life started, Why can't our "wonderful and knowledgeable" scientists create life in the lab? Oh sure they have took a bunch of chemicals, blended them in a flask and shot electric jolts through the ooze and "claimed" that life started because of some "so-called" change they said occurred. But in reality they have proved NOTHING!!!

So until I get answers to all these questions, I will believe in God, His Son and the Bible!!!
