Reagan on Socialism - Through Socialized Medicine

Nope. He's wealthy and was willing to pay a premium for a good surgeon who could do the surgery immediately. We just couldn't find one in Dallas. So, we loaded him up on pain killers and I flew with him to Vancouver. We went straight to the hospital and the surgery was performed the next morning. It was a success and now he's as good as new.

Well see there is the problem. You were looking in Dallas. All the good ones are in Fort Worth.

I kinda figured one of the right wing boys would speak up and tell me the way it should be.
Let me tell ya the way it is. Barry Obama signed heath care reform into LAW. THE DEBATE IS OVER.
This is a dead horse.

You are right, American medicine is now a dead horse and will only get worse with the rationing to come as the next "improvement."

I work in Canada. I have since 08. I work with mostly Canadians. These guys have NOTHING good to say about their health care. Other than “it isn’t free”.

When I hear someone making a statement that they flew to Canada and just popped in to get an operation, “I Know” it is disingenuous to say the least (for those of you from Rio Linda, that’s lying).
They wait for office visits, they wait then for evaluations, and then they wait for a surgeon, who has to wait for space on a table. Six months minimum to a year.

Canada is woefully low on doctors of all sorts. Nobody cares to be one anymore. College students have to do time in hospitals (volunteer), because hospitals are undermanned.
No – I am here. I listen to the horse’s mouth.

There are internet wanna-be's who tout this expansion of government waste. But they have nothing to do with it other than "secretly" being Left.

rocknrod, thank you for confirming what so many of us already knew. It's very alarming to know that our health care, here in the U.S.A., is destined for the same bleak results. What once was the BEST health care in the world will soon become a distant memory to those of us who were benefited by it...and a nightmare for ALL of us. :cray:

rocknrod when you used the word disingenuous you were being very diplomatic but I think you hit the nail on the head.
