I found this article at henrymakow.com, written by Joe Sobran (1946-2010). His is a summation of what most people I know feel about homosexuals. Don't think it is going to change anytime soon, regardless of any and all derogatory comments about homophobes, bigots, or otherwise.

And the link is correct, it is a summation of how most people feel, and it is riddled with as with the same ignorance that drives most people.

But where in hell do you get the idea you can deny people who do the same rights and freedoms you and I have?

Additionally you quoted a very stupid person. There is no correlation between pedophilia and homosexuality. Pedophilia is a distinct sexual orientation marked by persistent, sometimes exclusive, attraction to prepubescent children.

University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, surveyed 269 cases of children who were sexually molested by adults. In 82 percent of cases, the alleged offender was a heterosexual partner of a close relative of the child, the researchers reported in the journal Pediatrics. In only two out of 269 cases, the offender was identified as being gay or lesbian. Note: 2 our of 269 is less than 1%, while gay people compose about 4% of the population.

Of course you can find links where it is presumed that gay = pedophile, but you won't find one that supports that supposition with actual facts, only a hypothesis, the same way you are spreading this ignorance.

XD: If you will backup and re-read my post, I said that the article was a summation of what most people I know feel about homosexuals. Regardless of how it may ruffle your feathers, that is the way things are. You seem to have a problem in being so absorbed in defending the gay community that you are ignoring that the rights and freedoms of straights are being denied, even by threats of prosecution, for their refusal to acquiesce to demands by gays for things that violate their religious beliefs. As in the case of the bakery that would not cater a homosexual wedding but, rather than simply finding another bakery, they chose to go to litigation. The current proprietors are closing their business and are facing a recommended fine of $135,000. Do you think that is right? I don't think so. If the gays want to have their lifestyle, let them get out of their little girl panties and put on their adult underwear. I realize the current trend in this country is to eliminate the Christian religion but I don't think it will ever happen through coercion and trying to force the general populace to allow them to run amok. I think you will soon see the straight society take a stand against their heavy handedness and a hell of a lot of more serious problems occurring.

Yes, as you have, I can find many studies by different researchers to present facts in whatever manner I want, just as the reference below. I like the reference and it is in general agreement with my education in Psychology and further work in the mental health field. I have been exposed to the actual workings of some of the theories, not just reading, and, believe me, "facts/theories" are what you want them to be, not necessarily what they are. Some of the professionals in the field have been some of the looniest people I have encountered. I learned that "Ph.D" does sometimes mean "Piled Higher and Deeper."

Quite frankly, I think the government has put itself in a position of causing more harm through pushing the homosexual agenda than they intended and now don't know how to extricate themselves from it. The answer to the homosexual problem is, in actuality, very simple to correct through common sense, not by organizations whose primary purpose is to create problems. Unfortunately, I think it is too late for that solution so we will just keep on banging our heads.

All the baker had to do was quote an outrageous price for the cake, but chose to make a statement of hate instead. How would that play out if they were asked to make a cake for an interracial couple, of which they didn't approve?

Clerks in courthouses say they will refuse to do the paperwork (their job) for a marriage license for gay couples. (OBTW, they are not marrying them, only issuing a government document). They are there to serve all citizens, not just those they approve of. How about a racist clerk that refused to issue a license to a black or interracial couple. What if the police, firefighters, paramedics decided not to respond to the home of a known gay couple, you OK with that? They are no different than the clerk, they are employed to serve all citizens, just have different roles.

My position on defending gays? Because I know a number of gay people, have worked with them, have volunteered with them, have been to their home, and they are nice, normal people who merely want the same things we all do. I don't obsess on what they might do in the bedroom, any more than I obsess on what friends that are heterosexual might do in their bedroom. When you visit friends are you sitting there thinking about their sex life?

The facts I posted were from an actual study, vs. the assumption (without supporting data) that pedophilia equates to homosexuality.

There is nothing deceitful in allowing others to live their life as they choose, and not be shackled by the ignorance of long dead goat herders.

"Bad company ruins good morals" which is exactly why you won't fine me in a church or friends that are rabid fundy's that use god as justification for their personal hatred of others. It is clear that man invented god, when god hates the same people you do.

I am denied the privilege of expressing my thoughts without the "hate speech" tag being used; we are being told that our ministers are using hate speech when preaching and can be prosecuted for following the Word of God; immorality is being forced upon the public with total disregard for the religious or other values of all. Laws are being passed that disregard the effect on individual states which are enumerated in our Constitution, and the list goes on and on.

You and others seem to think we (straight) are obsessing on the bedroom behavior of gays which is erroneous. I obsess about their behavior being given priority over the Word of God; I obsess about schools today teaching such subjects to innocent minds and furthering their deviant lifestyle; I obsess about the insidious growth of evil by our government by not only condoning the gay lifestyle but actually promoting it through various agencies working in partnership with gay organizations. I could go on, ad nauseum, but everything has already been brought out to the public and promptly ignored. But, then again, this has all been foretold.

Today, homosexuality is seen as normal. Corporations are now proud to sponsor gay events. All the limits on jobs have been removed. The CEO of Apple, the largest company by market capitalization, was proud to come out of the closet as a gay man. Christians and conservatives, who oppose the sin of homosexuality are now seen in the negative light. The moral struggle will not end with gay marriage. It will quickly become obvious how little homosexuals care about monogamous relationships. Sure, gays wanted the legitimacy that comes with marriage but they still prefer to whore around with multiple partners. We're now at the point where all that is left is for the gay lobby to come after Christians. Because there is no long-term satisfaction is sin, homosexuals will always be driven to force others to approve of their lifestyle. If the left had their way, 100 percent attendance would be required at the next gay pride parade. Anyone not seen waving the rainbow flag would be sent off to a re-education camp. Of all the factors working to destroy America, I would say the worst problem is the state of the Church. The average Christian has no fight, no principle, and no will. Because so few believers are involved in working to uphold godly principles, the enemy will be able to quickly neutralize the ones that dare stand against them. With the Tribulation hour so close (and the Rapture so much closer) , it is better to go down fighting a hopeless cause than to be part of those who did nothing while perversion swept over the land.
