I didn't realize that there was so much interest in latent homosexual tendencies and the projection of the term onto those who disagree with homosexuality for religious reasons. Latent homosexuality can be defined as erotic leanings toward members of the same sex. It is not a conscious feeling but a repressed or hidden feeling. Sigmund Freud was the originator of the term and it became popular in the late 1990s. If one will take the time to study this topic, it can be found that this latency is an iatrogenic effect and isn't even thought of until it is suggested by therapists. So, if one wants to categorize people as having these latent tendencies, it would behoove them to at least study and know what they are talking about. Statistical results on any given subject vary considerably from researcher to researcher so there is always a varied menu on the subject to study.

Personally, I would much rather see a pretty girl smile than to hear a fat boy fart. I don't have any difficulties with my wiring and I am completely attracted to women, not men, even unconsciously. And, at my age, I don't have enough time left in the world to develop that deviancy.

No, it is just that I recognize how outrageous it is to hate people because of who the love, more so because a book of ancient ignorance tells you to. Do you actually know any gay people? The very same actions of people that fought (and still are to some extent) women's suffrage, integration, mixed race marriages, and even the right to use birth control, is rearing it's ugly head again with SSM. In case you have missed it, the SCOTUS rulings HAVE forced an interaction with gays, against the individual wishes. As an example, why should a florist or bakery be FORCED to cater to any function that is contrary to their Christian beliefs? Why can't the gay people go to other venues for their desires rather than trying to push their deviant lifestyle on others? That is not only a personal opinion but is the opinion of the majority of the country. Why should we be forced into any dealings with those we disagree with? It is time to push back against deviancy and those who would perpetrate it. If you wish to associate with those openly living in sin, have at it. I don't, and not only that, I won't be pushed into it. I am quite contented living in my community of friends and we are all of the same opinion. We may be of different religious denominations but we are all in concert with our beliefs and live in a very harmonious lifestyle. The gays, even among themselves, seem unable to do that. There are those who insist on a flamboyant lifestyle where they flaunt their persuasion in the most foul and obnoxious ways while there are others who choose to live a more subdued lifestyle without all the fanfare and do not want all the attention drawn to them.

You, who try to make out it is the Christians or other religions who hate, are the most guilty of anyone on here. Your incessant claims of guilt toward everyone but yourself indicates to me that it isn't necessarily your personal beliefs you are trying to espouse, but trying to gain lordship over those who do not think as you. C'mon now XD, you are trying to preach BS. I was around 50-60 years ago and things were not as bad down here as made out to be by the rabble rousers. Facilities were segregated in many ways and there were some die-hards who caused racial strife, but not to the degree you are intimating. Have you ever had a black into your home for a meal? Have you ever been into a black's home for a meal? I have and have co-existed with them without any personal problems for many years. As a kid, I worked in stores where blacks were as welcome as whites. I was run out of a restaurant in Kershaw, South Carolina, and the door locked behind us, when I tried to take a detachment of men with one black soldier there for a meal while on maneuvers. This was in the 60s when we were training to go to Vietnam. Yes, I have seen racism first hand and will still say that things were not as bad over all as made out to be.

There is one obvious thing you have missed. The problems you attempt to blame on God are not the fault of our God, they are individual failings. God can't fail, only we humans can do that. Any shortcomings we each have are deliberate choices we make, or have made, of our own volition. So, much to your chagrin, we can't blame anyone but ourselves. Trying to blame God for everything wrong is really stretching to make your argument. Since you don't believe in God, who, or what, do you blame your shortcomings on?
