Polls, quite simply are mostly bunk. It depends entirely on what is asked and how it is worded.
Opinions on the internet are mostly bunk too, unless they include at least some kind of substantive basis. I did include some. You included none. Twice.
I don't get the point of the challenge anyway. I responded to a post that I read as stating that folks who are pro-gun are a "very small percentage of the total population." Are you saying that because you think surveys and polls are mostly bunk that the estimate of 30% to 34% of adults owning guns is "mostly bunk?" It's a fairly commonly-cited statistic, and you'd have to reduce it by a significant percentage to call the pro-gunners in the total population a "very small percentage" with any credibility. Since that was the only point I used the links to challenge, the "polls are bunk" meme isn't relevant to that point. Unless you're trying to make the point that 30% to 34% of the total population who are gun owners aren't necessarily pro-gun, and so many of them are actually anti-gun that they combine with the rest of the total population to leave the pro-gunners a "very small percentage," I don't get why you're making a deal out of it. Or are you saying that 30% to 34% itself is a "very small percentage of the total population?" What's up?
