Hello, congrats on the permit!! ;) that feeling does fade over time. Once you get used to carrying, you forget you even have it and you don't think about it. Welcome to the forum!

Hi everyone, I live in Massachusetts and have my CCL. I'm currently carrying a Rossi M68 revolver, 38 Special. With help I've received on here im purchasing a Ruger SR9c very soon. I look forward to interacting with everyone on here. Remember, be safe but dont overreact.
 
Newcomer here from Clarkston, WA. Just recently purchased a glock 23, and with some study, practice, and advise from all of you on this site, hope to obtain a CPL within a couple of months.
 
New carrier from central Minnesota! Just got my license yesterday, only took four days from application to permit-in-hand. Very impressed with my county's efficiency! Plan to open carry, with a BUG *somewhere* underneath.
 
Hey I'm here new and I already posted in the California thread and the Military thread. So I am from Sacramento county and was in the Army for 6 years with 16months in Iraq as an Infantry Mortarman. I am in the middle of the process of getting my CCW and look forward to learning more from this forum. Take care
 
Howdy. I'm a new member from Texas. I recently purchased my first handgun - a Ruger GP100 .357 4". I'm planning to get a CHL in the next year and a smaller handgun to conceal - not sure I can easily conceal the GP100.
 
New midwest member here. My state has open and concealed carry. Applied for and was granted the CCW permit shortly after applying. Great site from what I have seen so far.
 
New member from south west OH. Looking to possibly transition from carrying a semi-auto to a revolver here in the next year. Hopefully I can put up a few good questions for you all. Found this site through Facebook on the Ruger page. Looking forward to finding some good info. :)
 
Welcome, All. It's good to meet you. The more the merrier, I say. Love to hear from more states. Make sure you look near the bottom of the site and see the thread for you individual state. VERY imformative, I didn't see it at first, wish I had. Welcome again.

As far as your pistol choice; its yours. Use what you feel good with. Remember to weigh out the pro's and con's like the auto. Has more rounds for a battle, but more than likely the battle will be a short one. I truly hope you never have to find out.

Hello, new female handgun owner here. I have done some hunting many years ago with rifles and shotguns, but got my CCW, a revolver and a pistol a couple of months ago. I am training and reading everything I can so I can be safe and prepared. My reason for carrying is self-protection and target shooting. I have a friend who was assaulted and raped in her home of 35 years by a homeless stranger recently. When I hugged her and cried with her all I could say was do whatever you need to to feel safe again, get a weapon and learn how to use it. Later when I thought about it I realized I needed to take my own advice, so here I am and my husband and adult son have joined me an got their CCW license.

I enjoy reading the threads on this forum there are some knowledgeable gun people here (and a few not so :) I also like the sense of humor I read on many posts.
