@ jdrex,

You are very welcome, I hope you enjoy the white paper. Please feel free to chat me up or private message me to let me know your thoughts on the topic and if the information proved useful for you.

@ vs1100star2002 and gman1: Welcome to the forum, I think you will enjoy it here. I am new myself, yet with the few posts I have shared with people and read from others, there is a great spirit of camaraderie, and helpful attitudes abound.

Best wishes,

- SB

The USA carry map is good for showing where your CCL is valid thru reciprocity. The biggest issue I have found is finding the most comfortable and convenient way to carry. Also wise to know what facilities are govt owned!

There is also a lot of debate as to whether you should carry locked and loaded with a bullet in the chamber and take the chance of an accidental discharge, or carry without a bullet in the chamber and increase the time it takes to pull and arm your handgun. Ultimately you will have to make this decision.

New to forum

I have been carrying off and on for 10 years+, starting to carry everyday. This site seems like a good place to share information, I'll be checking things out.

New member from one of the worst states in the union when it comes to the 2A. New Jersey. Wife and I are taking a ccw class and will hopefully receive a Fla. Non resident ccw permit. Looking to learn as much as I can about concealed carry so we can do it right.

Hello everyone. Long time gun owner/shooter/hunter and former US Army 12-B. Newly permitted CCW. The change in my state to "shall issue" from "may issue" and the extension of the term from one year to five years gave me the incentive to finally apply for my CCW permit. Additionally, in Iowa, it doubles as a Permit to Acquire and I had been meaning to pick-up an XDM for some time now anyways. I'm a big fan of SA and their XDM's. Thus my screen name on here. Thanks in advance for all of the great info that I'm sure I'll gleen from your posts.

Hello from Manitowoc, WI. As most people know by now Wisconsin has become one the newest states to pass a bill for concealed carry. I got on the band wagon took a aacfi course and received my permit for concealed carry in about 23 days. My first purchase was a stoeger cougar .45. Yeah it's a bit heavy to walk around with, but it is very reliable, fits my hand like a glove, and I am very comfortable with it. Anyways, I am new to the forum and what I have seen so far in the posts it looks like a great forum.

Figured I'd say hello on the noob thread. New Texas CHL holder here. Enjoyed guns since I was a kid, but recently I decided that daily carry and proper preparation is necessary for true peace of mind.
