Hi Sgt Joe,

Can not agree on buying American re Pistols, love my Glock 19, carry it every minute.

Now vehicles, that's different, my vehicles have been American since I arrived in North America in 1968.

My last three (always new) have been Jeep Cherokees, my current one is a 2008, the best vehicle I have ever owned. 50,000 miles, flawless. Lifetime warranty on the drive train!

At 75 years of age, do not take any medication, quite fit, love America! Born in the UK, Liverpool. Royal Signals, Brit Military.

Shoot IDPA. Welcome back. Good luck on the second family.

I do understand Sir, I have yet to meet a Glock owner who did NOT love them.

But do me a favor if you will, take a ride due east about 50 miles and say HI to my real Hometown of Merritt Island......Yup that is where I spent most of my growing up as dad was assigned at Patrick twice and then retired there, I am a Graduate of Cocoa High School. And while I know yall have had a bit of a cold snap those mid 60's have to feel mighty good. currently my computer says 58 there and 39 here....brrrrrr..... I can not wait to one day get back HOME.

I was also Signal Corps and served along side some of your countrymen in Iraq....a mighty fine bunch they were.

Hello Chris!
I am also from your 'neck of the woods', live in the Ellsinore-Van Buren, MO area in Carter County. I make it as far west as Mountain View and Murray Anderson's Gunsmith shop from time to time.

Nice choice in CCW weapons, mine is a Glock 22, or the Taurus Millennium Pro PT-140, or the CZ-82.

I have not been on this forum for too long but have found that there is a wealth of information and experience here.

Again, Welcome from a forum newbie and fellow Southeastern/southcentral Missourian!

I wonder if we've already met since I've been working for Murray since September.

The next time you stop in I'll have to show you my RIA. I duracoated it in Desert Beige with black controls and grips. I think it's pretty enough to be a BBQ gun now. The way my luck runs, though, you'll probably stop by on a day that I'm carrying the Taurus or Steyr instead. I look forward to meeting you if we haven't already met.

Ironically, I have a BIL with the same name as you (not sure about his middle initial.) His family is from the bootheel, a little town called Advance.

Maybe now that we have CCW Suzanna Matinez (R) for Gov, that will change. NM, the state where 'all' illegal immigrants can get NM Drivers Licenses, but FBI Background Checked and classroom Certified CCW's are deemed Illegal. Thank Bill Richardson and his cadre of 'D's, Oh wait, BR is in NKorea to stop the shooting. Maybe he will make it Illegal? Or at the least inspect His and Carter's 'Peaceful' Nuke. Enjoy Durango, enjoy the snow. Lots of it on the way :>)

Yes, Suzanna Martinez's victory was a breath of fresh air, even though Bill Richardson did sign NM's CC law and also the change to the CC law making it legal to carry in resturants that serve beer and wine. His pay-to-play schemes, though, was what got Suzanna Martinez elected.

Hello All

Calico Jack from Wisconsin here, First time caller, long time listener, love the show. I live in the nort woods, and I regularly open carry, I also have non resident permits for several states. I have been an avid CCW advocate for about 12 years. Though I voted to support CCW in WI when I was 18, it was the first thing I voted for in my life.

Been shooting since about age 10, joined the Navy in 1999 and started with explosives. That turned into a vast array of different jobs including small arms instructor, VBSS (Current Anti-Piracy operations), Force protection/anti-terrorism (Pre and Post 9/11), Harbor Patrol, and about a million other things involviong small arms. I am currently just teaching firearms to people and helping them with their gunsmithing questions.

and thats who I am....... Tah Dah..............:pleasantry:

Welcome Bear, just a comment on Roy. If you remember in the TV shows Roy never killed anyone, just "winged them", not a good self defense practice but he was depicted as trying to bring them in not assassinate them. He really was a good shot too and used to entertain the cast and crew during breaks by shooting plates tossed into the air. Puts a whole new light on the casual way he held his wheel guns on screen.

Welcome Bear, enjoy the good company. Grandma was a Sly. Stopped in to see cousin Roy in later years. Found his brother Jack at his cookhouse, they sat and chatted a spell. Roy was everything he portrayed.. Gene Autry and the Lone Ranger lived up to their images. Full 180 from today's Holyweed. BTW Red Ryder lives in NM and shows up at our gun shows. :>)

According to Bill, he never carried (desired the NRA vote). Suzana Does Carry. The 'boutique' beer and wine left out a key element. No Applebee's or Chile's. Also a backroom deal was made to end Utah reciprocity, following Left coast Cal and Harry's Nev. Bill is a thug and gets elected by sharing among his cadre, the rewards of his thugery. His rabid supporters 'enforce' his desires. Violence (threatened then administered) is rumored as a powerful deterent to any competition for 'the Throne'. 'The Santa Fe Ring' has been well recognised since the days of Billy the Kid. BTK deserves his long overdue Pardon :>)

Hi Group,
A newbie from South Carolina here. I like to lurk awhile before I open my mouth so I've been reading some of the post. I have been very impressed with the topics and responses to them. I have just one concern. I know that this is an English only but I speak and right southern, is that OK?

Welcome, speak all the southern you want,,

Glock

As far as I'm concerned the real problem with a Glock is that there's no way (that I know of) to outfit it with a custom grip. If anyone knows different I'd be very glad to hear from them.

Hello there, NewB here from around Asheville, NC.

I'm new to this site but not to handguns. I recently traded my 30something year old S&W Model 66 Combat Revolver in on a Glock 36 and love it. I tend to lurk much, post less... keeps me out of trouble. I'm looking forward to getting to know the folks on here and have been impressed with the friendly sharing of knowledge I've already found here.

I figured out who you were, hence the comment about Murray's shop
I saw your DesertBeige RIA when I brought my M1 Carbine in to have some cleaning up on it by Murray, also had a RIA that a friend was having him duracoat it in Black Semi-gloss!
I'll make sure that you know when I get back to the shop there (knowing how you like to work on the bench with headphones on)

Take-er easy and enjoy the Christmas Dinner!
