hello everyone, newbie here from virginia. Looking to learn alot from you all only owned a weapon for about a year, looking for solid advice and good tips.

a better Glock

As far as I'm concerned the real problem with a Glock is that there's no way (that I know of) to outfit it with a custom grip. If anyone knows different I'd be very glad to hear from them.

This is a quote from Robert H.Boatman about his 10mm glock
Perhaps this will help you. "Robbie Barrkman of The Robar Companies in Phoenix [www.robarguns.com] figured out early on how to work with Glock's polymer frame and reshape it any way a shooter might desire. In my case, he thinned the grip down a little and shaped it to perfectly fit my hand. He also lopped off that silly hook on the trigger guard, cosmetic surgery I recommend to any Glock owner if for no other reason than it makes the gun easier to re-holster. He refinished the grip and trigger guard with a nice stipple texture, added little-finger extensions to my magazines, fit the extensions perfectly to the bottom of the frame and finished them to match. The result is a pistol that feels like an organic part of my hand instead of a lump I'm hanging on to so it doesn't escape."

Howdy from Patheticut!

Been lurking for a while.Figured I ought to sign up.

I live in Commieland now but I should be back home in east Tennessee by mid January by the latest.I was born in Lapeer Michigan and lived there until I was 14 and returned to Clarkston for 5 years in 1994.

Currently I'm a tree climber/faller by trade but I was an auto/motorcycle/small engine mechanic and welder for 15 years.

I'm pretty knowledgeable about most things such as firearms and reloading.I used to be up to speed on carry laws in several states but kind of lapsed since 2004 when I moved to Connecticut during a momentary bought with insanity.

I live in the Hartford area if I can be of any assistance.I have a strong "help my fellow man" belief.

After mid January 20011,I will be living back in Maryville or south Knoxville Tn. near Seymour. My father lives in Lenoir City.

If I can ever be of help, please let me know.

To anyone in or honorably out of the military,God bless you and I cannot thank you enough for your service!!!!!!!!!!!!

To the handful of good LE out there,I'd like to thank you as well. This goes for Firemen ands EMT as well.

God bless all of you here and have a Merry CHRISTmas and a fantastic New Year!

Steve

Hello from the Pacific NW. I'm a long-time handgunner and reloader who got my first carry permit about 10-11 years ago. My user name comes from my other hobby -- woodworking.

Hi Saige;
I'm a fairly new member myself and I have tried contacting you about the M1911A1 you have for sale. I am interesred in it if you still have it. I don't know if I'm doing this right even now. If you do receive this message you can e-mail me at tjm4katy@aol.com. I would like to know if you still have the .45 and what is your bottom price? Thank you for your reply!

Tommy
