Great point, and I think it is part of my lack of hero worship. I do not think he would have, I think he was "gun-brave". I can't recall which shooting it was recently (too many crazy libs) but I do not think he would have stepped up unarmed like the pepper-spray guy recently did, unless he or his family was threatened.
Obviously right on all counts. My only point was that this "hero" story is easier to spin than any other "good guy steps up" story I have seen recently.
The Seattle Pacific University shootings is where the guy with pepper spray took down the shooter recently.
I think this is where a few are finding differences, whether or not he chose to help because he had a firearm, or just because it was the right thing to do...unfortunately we don't have the knowledge to say one way or the other without upsetting one of the sides.
The anti gun crowd is so busy smearing their own poo on their padded walls, what they try to spin is of no concern to me.
IMO, Wilcox tried to help, that makes him a good guy in my mind...maybe not my "hero" but maybe he is someone's hero that he affected personally..unfortunately society lost a good guy that day...but then the sun set, and rose again in the morning, and time will tell when another good guy needs to step up.
